What has the RNC addressed in its platform (over the last 25 years), which is attractive to the majority of African Americans? Hey, there are real reasons for Blacks not being Republicans; and it isn't about color.
I was just discussing this last week with retired school teacher, regarding IVEY students having an significantly increased group 48 hour projects introduced in their curriculum. 2 a year became an 8 a year. She actually brought up the fact, that group settings are not very effective...and that most teachers understand this. Part of this understanding is that the creativity of some (not all), cannot flourish in a group environment.
As a military member, I'd have to agree with the fact that until a "group" is formed properly into a "team"... productivity is not as great. However, in reality (and in the military) there are many situations where high-level teamwork is required in order to accomplish a task. So, while I would agree that in a school/academic setting groups are not always or necessarily the most efficient way to teach... there are times where groups/teams need to be a part of what kids learn to be involved in. There is a lot to be gained from that (group) experience. In the world outside of school/academia... most people work as part of a group or team, and if properly trained or prepared, they accomplish more than any single person is capable of. In fact, as related to outcomes... the efficacy of employing a team to the proper task is virtually indisputable.
