Egypt: Troops, Pro-Morsi Protesters Clash In Sinai, Suez

    July 5, 2013 | 1527 GMT

Egyptian troops clashed with supporters of ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi in the Sinai city of El Arish, Suez and Ismailia on July 5, witnesses and security sources said, Reuters reported. Protesters reportedly tried to enter government buildings in all three towns. Some threw rocks, security sources said, and troops responded by shooting in the air and firing teargas into the crowds. The Muslim Brotherhood can be expected to continue to engage in protests that, coupled with a security crackdown on the group, will likely result in violence.

The Egyptian civil war has begun ?
    I believe so.
The Muslim Brotherhood will not give up that easy.

The revolutionary process will be a long one in Egypt. Twenty-five million people on the streets who demanded Morsi go has sadly been hijacked by a US-backed Egyptian military dictatorship. We are currently back to square one.

Latest news (BBC London 20.00GMT) is that troops had opened fire and at least one person had been killed. Police denied using live ammunition, but the shooting was apparently witnessed by a journalist.

Right, but a democracy has to suffer through their bad choices until the next election.

Egypt will have to learn this if they are to become a democracy.

You think the Army should just lay back and let MB and the "rebels" fight it off ? 'cause that's what we'll see in the next days...

So every time the ppl is discontent its time to storm the palace ? there is a way to replace a leader without giving an excuse for endless violence.
its very possible we are going to hear how it is the majurity that still very much support Mursi and that it was all planned by the Military and possibly Israel - as the days go by and the bodies pile up in the streets. there is no way to tell which way its going, one thing for sure MB will not support any elections or any gov from now on execp their own, their Honor was offended = Allah was offended.

In such matters , its always a choice between two so-called "evils" the side you. don't like / consider to be disagreeable + those you do like.

Jews got lucky. The only reason 99.99% of the world isnt in favor of muslims vs israel is because Islamists are bat(*)(*)(*)(*) insane. I even tried to sympathize with them and i just cant.

Had Morsi been more flexible and moderate, then he would still be in power. Obviously he thinks that having the majority gives him a right to trample on the rights of everyone else and push through his agenda with no modification. But then again he is an Islamist, and are they able to do otherwise? Erdogan in Turkey sees things the same way, which I guess is the best way to split up a country. :cynic:

Now you got it kiddo. If the Islamists didn't feel they had to reconquer Jerusalem because having it in Jewish hands is an insult to Allah, then they would garner a lot more sympathy from the American people.

I must have missed the link to the story, so here we go:

    Egyptian Protests Explode Into Violence

Also, it looks like Santa Claus is protesting in Egypt as well. Well, I guess he has to be somewhere while his elves are busy making toys!

By now, the Egyptian military and a large percentage of Egyptian people are sick of the "Muslim"Brotherhood Allah Akhbar crazies who are not really Muslims.

The Islam of the "Muslim" Brotherhood is the Judaized Islam that murdered the Saints, Prophets & Christ over the eons since Abraham.
Hopefully, the people in the military and outside the military are following the Islam of the Prophet Muhammed who recognized Christ as the Messiah and the King of the New Jerusalem where believers rule the world according to the Word of that King, "nature's God."

I've wanted to ask you about that for awhile, what exactly do you mean by "nature's god"? It sounds like druidism.

I think our Constitution refers to God that way, or at least one of our Founding Fathers did. :confuse:

Egypt as a democratic nation which includes representation of her minorities would not have survived another 3 years under the MB. And there was no legal process in the constitution to remove a president. President Morsi had escaped from jail in the first revolution of 2011 and should thus should never been able to run for president. But one couldn't touch him once he was president. There is no process of impeachment in the constitution. Certainly hope the new govt puts one in the new constitution.
And yes you are right, the military has run the country since 1952

it will just end up in futility.

Do we always need to want to be annihilating someone? I preferred Abu's idea of offering social justice - to the poor education and help with surviving - the latter of which the MB had done for years.

Any bets? Will the Muslim Brotherhood go the "unauthorized demonstration/riot" route, or will they go the terrorism route to show their displeasure with the turn of events?

Now that guns have been brought into the equation I guess all bets are off. I predict another Syria unless the lunatics are reined-in.
