Indeed, there is an answer, but it will require extensive profiling , unrelenting, zero-tolerance enforcement of the law , executions of all persons convicted of capital crimes within one month after being provided with a trial and a complete judicial review , and very long prison sentences without the possibility of early release for "good time" or parole for violent criminals .

Once the word gets out that crime and punishment isn't some kind of "cool" experience "wit da bruddahs", with the certainty of an early release from prison, the whole thing will start to be one hell of a lot less attractive to the rat herd in this country....

His father said he was...sorry doesn't meet my burden of proof, we are in fact discussing someone who has killed people today. And the claim of PTSD for rescue operations at 9/11, while I admit it had to have been nerve racking, do we have any documentation for other cases? Especially those involving mass murder? If so they have escaped my notice. And there were thousands of rescue workers, volunteers, and helpers there from all over the country. Sorry if I am not as easily swayed into the criminals story as you seem to be. More than his father said so is going to be required. From what I am hearing it sounds more like he has issues with authority and self esteem.

The 2nd Amendment is an Amendment, it can be changed, modified and even overturned, just like any other part of the Constitution.

But that's not really necessary to license guns anyway. Rights can be restricted and are every day. We really DON'T allow people to shout "Fire" in crowded theatres, though a Dadaist can make a perfectly valid claim that it's part of artistic "Free Expression".

The Germans tortured my sisters husbands father and then left him for dead in a 5 by 5 concrete cell with no windows for several months after he was captured with a group of underground railroad types in Brussels (he was a downed American Airman). He was still messed up until he died a few years ago. He couldn't be in dark rooms by himself, and loud noises or unexpected physical contact gave him panic attacks.
