Everybody is afraid of telling the truth because they are afraid of being called a racist. The fact is that too many black kids walk around acting like hoodlums, looking like hoodlums, identifying themselves a gang members (or at least as "gangstas") looking like they are looking for trouble, pants falling off their rears like idiots, and then everyone is so shocked when police react to them the way they do. If this stupid kid had been dressed like a Baptist preacher he would not have been shot. But instead he dressed like so many other punks dress and that's how police saw him. Black parents need to start teaching their kids to be part of a civilized society and not allow them to wander around looking like criminals. That;s the bottom line, whether anybody wants to admit it or not.

dress is important..... how you portray yourself determines if you get benefit of the doubt. It's the reason I wear a tie to job interviews and when I go on long road trips....

I want the boss to take a chance with me and no matter what my creditials and resume states, if I show up in board shorts.... I won't get the job. Does wearing board shorts to a job interview change any of my past experience or education? Absolutely not..... but still, I wear a tie

I wear a tie while driving long road trips because if I get pulled over, I'd rather the cop, who has the power to either write a 300$ ticket or let me off with a warning, give me benefit of the doubt.

It's funny, saggers and sideways flatbilled hats, etc, seem to have a drug dog sniff their car a lot more than people in business suits....

Really? Why is that? Are you saying because Wilson rolled his windows down that was an invitation to be assaulted?

    No kidding..

"A source with detailed knowledge of the investigation later told CNN the caller's account is "accurate," in that it matches what Wilson has told investigators."

So no she is not some random caller.

los angeles recently had a police shooting of an unarmed suspect

their work to revive community based policing was probably why there weren't riots over the incident

it's hearsay from a prejudiced party

for all you know it's being fed to the media to dishonestly influence the case

that sounds like advice from a white collar criminal

I am here for honest debate. I see by your consistent snipping of peoples posts that you have no interest in debate. Please refrain from replying to me as i have no interest in playing your games anymore. Thanks.

and yet, I haven't been shot when walking down a street either.....

and yet, I've never had drug dogs brought in when pulled over for a driving citation

and yet.... (need I go on)

You don't have to like it or agree with it, but to deny it is silly.

like lots of white collar criminals that steal billions but don't pay for their crimes

and one day you might run into a cop that has something against dishonest suits

i doubt that, if you wanted debate you wouldn't be whining about edits

you'd be talking about what was said in the press conference

yes, but CNN reported it after they vetted the woman's story through a "reliable" source close to the investigation. Officer Wilson has already filed his report regarding the shooting. According to the reliable source, Josie's story matches Officer Wilson's.

Interesting how you leave out the part where CNN vetted this story. You only discredit yourself by doing that.

You,are absolutely correct. If it wasn't for us Lefties the incident would never have occurred. We have spent hundreds of years creating racism in the United States so that we can enjoy riots on television. Just proves how farsighted and intelligent we are.

at this point everything seems to match what the women is saying, I hope the officer already wrote his report and it's timestamped in the system from the first or second day all this went down, it will look better for the police imo, cause the story points to a clean kill, not writing up a report points to lets make sure it's a clean kill before we start telling our stories and make sure we all have our stories striaight... it's the same reason police prefer two suspects be split up and each give their stories separately, so they can't influence each others memories

So what? He probably had a coffee thermos with him too.

Where did you get the idea unarmed people are never a threat of serious bodily harm or even death? Brown had already gone for the weapon and was now coming back and charging full speed.

Why do you have to couch this rather than just come out and state Brown signed his own death warrant and Wilson was justified in protecting himself?

I just started a new thread based on the report from the St. Louis Dispatch that more than a dozen witness have confirmed to police the statement of the police officer of what happened. A justified shooting.

He was being charged by the attacker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you give me any rational reason to believe that the police would have arrived and been able to stop Brown in the 3 seconds it would have taken Brown to cross that 35 ft. and been on top of Wilson?

How about Brown could have waited until Wilson had backup and then submitted to arrest and he'd be alive today? Did that scenario ever occur to you?

Actually what I said was the arguement presented was dumb not the person presenting it. I guess I could have said the arguement was unintelligent, or irrational, or poorly thought out if you find that more acceptable.

Yes just like white people who got lynch but seems we stopped the lynching and it has been replaced by black on white crime and burning of the property of law abiding citizens.

I believe the man had a heart condition and perhaps he did not take the warning from his doctor to not resist arrest and struggle with police as it could kill him.
