Should I simply show your ignorance? Reagan used Jimmy Carters studies and thought he could garner the Hispanic votes for the Republicans, nothing but politics. Texas sending NG's to the border was their 2 week yearly training, so the costs you exclaim were already there even if the NG went to a Military Training Facility for 2 weeks. The NG's do not have the authority to arrest illegals crossing the border, they were a deterrent though and NO illegals crossed in their vicinity.
Children go with their parents all around the world all the time, so deporting them would be no different then them moving from 1 location to another. Those that are older, people move all the time to other countries for work, deportation would be no different.
I dont think telling a 25 year old that has lived here all their life to get out for no reason other than their parents commited a crime, and the Republicans and Democrats both were accomplices, but now you gotta get out as very funny, and I do have a pretty sick sense of humor.
So you want the President to do something which you feel is "constitutionally wrong" because...what again? So you don't think the President actually has the power to do an executive type amnesty, but you support him violating the constitution? So...why do we even need a constitution then? It sounds like you think the President should be able to do anything that he thinks needs doing, and forget the courts and the congress. I guess there is your answer Mr Franklin: We can't keep the Republic.
What if that 25 YO came here on his/her own when they where 14. You are broad-brushing a few instances with the overall majority which is disingenuous at best.
I did not try explaining Reagans actions and they do not matter, you are simply trying to make excuses for Raygun and his dumb move. BS they were not on their two week training. So sorry but it was you that has shown their ignorance. They were deployed in July and early August and were still there in late September, have seen nothing that says they are gone or still there, the costs are around $800,000,000 which Texas now wants the Federal Government to pay, good luck, choice have consequences and now he will have to rob more from education to pay the Bills or charge the citizens of Texas. Love it when people simply make up "stuff" thinking no one will question their "stuff".
Not making excuses for Reagan at all, simply stating basic facts. Yes his political ploy was dumb, at least on that we can agree. Yes the NG was on their 2 week rotations along the border instead of going to a Military Training Facility. Do you think they all went at once? Do you know how many different Battalions and Companies there are of NG in Texas? They were rotated in and out every 2 weeks. Perry is requesting the Feds pay for it simply because of politics, by stating he is doing what the Feds should be doing. MOD EDIT - Off Topic
Oh good grief I never said they were all there, I said they were there for longer than two weeks, they were, MOD EDIT - Off Topic They are never going to see that money from the Feds, the Feds have to approve it beforehand to pay for it, our asshat of a Governor cost this State a bundle by why would he care he is out of here.
The congress has done absolutely nothing about it, and something needs be done. All laws and rules are not good ones, and sometimes need changing even if the powers that be won't do it. So yes, reluctently, I hope he does it. (if congress won't)
The NG was there for more than 2 weeks, but the personnel were on 2 week rotation cycles. Is that to deep for you to grasp? Perry didn't cost the state any more then what it would have paid for the NG to go to a Military training facility for their 2 week yearly mandated fulfillment. I agree, they probably will never see any money from the feds for it, as the feds didn't mandate it.
You're thinking about the 50,000 that just crossed...not the 15,000,000 that have been here for years. We'll give yo time to catch up.
There are steps he could have taken. Some could have been turned around. He could have had a harder stand. His actions made it known that he would do nothing and encouraged it.
Monsanto paid for Obama's champaign and now he is allowing cheap labor in to work on monsanto farms as pay back.
No, in post 5 I made a point about the recent influx of children and the policies that were used for them and the DACA recipients, in regards to Obama and the laws. That should make it easier for you to comprehend. Now go back and try to comprehend my comment in post 5 and try again before attempting to label me as a hypocritic &%@XX$#&!. Once you comprehend my comment your damned mirror will be staring right back at you, once again.
If I were deported from a country that I broke into I would have no qualms about that country what so ever. I would simply be returning to my own nation. Again, what is so inhumane about that? And yes I have been deported from a country and sent back to my home nation. You are arguing your feelings and morality and pushing it onto everybody else, the majority do not agree with you.
And who determines if those laws or rules are not good ones? Prior Presidents have all but said those laws and rules are good ones, to include prior Congress's. Why are they all of a sudden "not good ones"? Congress has done something about it, each chamber has passed bills that the other refuses to take up. The only thing that needs to be done is to enforce our laws as they are written.
So simply enforcing the law isn't acceptable to you? You need a leader to assume unconstitutional, dare I say dictatorial powers, to get something that you want?
and yet you claimed this very thing Which is it? Most are children or about all the immigrants (12 Million)which are mostly adults? You seem
I understand the rotation cycle but none the less they were there for longer than two weeks and yes it did cost the State a bundle of money otherwise the State would not be trying to get it back from the Feds.
