There are hundreds, possibly thousands of Hollywood movies concerning outer space. Most of these films are of course, complete fantasy. Star Wars, Star Trek and so on. A small number do however deal with the "reality" of outer space. The Right Stuff, Gravity.. Strangely, not a SINGLE motion picture in history has ever attempted to depict the actual Apollo landings. (If this scene has ever been depicted in film, even for however briefly, then the Official historical NASA Apollo Missions were not that film's primary focus and/or setting.) Now, weren't the Apollo Missions the apex of humanity's intellectual achievement?! I mean, movies have been made about all kinds of history's notable people and events! JFK, Viet-Nam, the Titanic, Pearl Harbor, 9/11, Hitler's Germany, the Queen of England, all of it! So then, WHY NOT the moon landings?? Multitudes of films make REFERENCE to the moon landings, yet not one filmmaker in the history of Hollywood has ever come to be "the guy" that produces THEE definitive, "based on the true story" blockbuster account of mankind's most glorious and triumphant conquest. Its safe to assume a film of such magnitude would be sold to us as a "highly accurate recreation". Well then, think of all the technical questions the film's producers would need to ask NASA, if this were to be true. In reality, if such a film were to ever be made, NASA (or whatever Alphabet Soup shadow Agency) would obviously comprise 2/3 of its production staff. Where do you think budgets for movies (and marketing campaigns) like Gravity really come from? Think long and hard about the actual messages those movies are trying to send you. Think about the preconceived notions these movies are meant to validate within your systematically programmed box of an existence. Why do you think Space Odyssey 2001 was released for public consumption (suggestive psychological absorption) about 1 year before Neil's "Giant Leap for Mankind"? Here's something else to ponder... Once a film like this were to be made, and the world were to be shown just how well Hollywood (under NASA's consulting guidance) could recreate footage of a lunar landing, it would only be a matter of time until people with even the tiniest morsel of COMMON SENSE began wondering... Wait a second.. Exactly how long HAVE Hollywood & the Govt been capable of producing these kinds of "movies"??? ....
One thing is aside from Apollo 13, most of the manned missions went off without a hitch. Apollo 13 had both the engine failure in the second stage and of course explosion. Apollo 12 was struck by lightning twice during liftoff. Apollo 11 had some anxiety about the boulder field and a faulty fuel reading during the landing. Gene Cernan accidentally tore the fender of the lunar rover during Apollo 17 with his rock hammer. Apollo 16s Command Module pilot tried an ESP experiment. That's about it.
That movie is about the Govt faking a Mars landing. - - - Updated - - - That's TV. Not a Hollywood Blockbuster. And it barely shows anything happening on the actual surface of the "moon".
Oh. You must be talking about the time Buzz literally punched some guy in the face, completely unprovoked, for asking Buzz to swear on the bible that he had gone to the moon. Must be frustrating when you're a hired actor like Aldrin, paid by the Govt to perpetuate a MASSIVE LIE for the rest of your life. Yeah, that guy's a real "American Hero". LOL
Hollywood's lack of an epic blockbuster covering the subject is what suggests it never happened, not me. - - - Updated - - - Not at all. They were just compartmentalized. That way nobody working on the lower levels ever even HAD to lie, which they didn't. They just didn't have access to the bigger picture.
I figured as much. I was alive when that stupendous achievement occurred, it was real. No need to respond.
Validation Boy is wrong about Buzz. He was being harassed by the guy. Oh and this did go to court and the judge threw it out because the guy was harassing Aldrin first. Here is the proof. This post exposes validation for what he is: either a troll, a liar, or a barely functioning helmet-to-the-mall wearing short-bus rider. Saying that the punch was completely unprovoked is about as pathetic of a revision to what actually happened as is blather about the moon landing. Unless, of course, one wants to say that a person harassing another, and calling him a liar, a fake, and a coward is not provoking him.
It was Hollywood,Ron Howard and tom Hanks were involved in it and it showed enough...... your rant is a big fail.
You moon hoaxers are a hoot, asking a man to swear on a bible that he did one of the most significant events in his life is hardly 'unprovoked'..I'm surprised he didn't hit the dumbass again Buzz Aldrin is an astronaut, not an actor,he flew on Gemini 12 and Apollo 11 and walked on the moon. Period
Of all the conspiracy theories, arguably the "Moon Hoax' has got to be the most ridiculous. I like the rebuttal "If we didn't go to the moon then why didn't the Soviets blab about it to everyone"
That movie doesn't stand up to scrutiny any better than the Apollo hoax claims, actually. I own it on DVD and have watched it more than once. It only works if you don't think about it too deeply.
I like to cite the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal website. It archives every photograph, every painstaking panorama and every unexciting photo of rocks and regolith, that the astronauts took up there, and they are all a wonderful testament to the reality of those missions. They're also scanned at two resolutions, one of those being quite huge. Example: click -> https://www.hq.nasa.gov/alsj/a11/AS11-37-5547HR.jpg <- ALSJ site: https://www.hq.nasa.gov/alsj/frame.html
Oh no, not this (*)(*)(*)(*) again. The pertinent question is, are these people who are so detached from reality, a danger to others? Or it this just harmless lunar-cy, er, I mean lunacy. LOL I don't blame Aldrin for punching some guy out. After endangering his own life to have some nut question that great achievement deserves a couple good blows to the nose. Might knock some of that cocaine loose. But it would not of course knock any sense into that person. They are obviously hopeless. As a comedian once said, you can't fix stupid. It's immune to all treatments and drugs. Stupidity is very tenacious, and before we had so many laws that protected the nuts from themselves, evolution tended to remove these genes from the pool.
What a sight this: https://www.hq.nasa.gov/alsj/a11/AS11-36-5418HR.jpg would have been in person! - - - Updated - - - *L* I've seen the video of that punch. The guy definitely had it coming.
