That's right - again attack the person instead of the argument. That's much easier and avoids possibility of understanding the issues with each of these investigations which he identifies. And of course it's opinion - but an educated opinion based on analyzing the facts.
What "argument"??? Sorry but in basing your objection to climate change on a proven conspiracy i.e. climategate are you not attacking source rather than substance? And it is very very very legitimate to question bias in science. Every scientist who publishes must declare if they have any bias or interest in the outcome of the findings or they could lose credibility, position and funding. I have simply looked to affirm if the author has a bias - he does. As do a vast majority of denialists - they are in it for the very lucrative funding and authorship opportunities. Now I can prove that institutes like the Fraser institute that Mckitrick is involved with - are well funded by industries with a monetary agenda Can you prove the opposite? Can you prove that the IPCC is funded by vested interests? Can you prove that the tens of thousands of scientists around the world who have been researching this and have put reputations and jobs on the line (if you want to dispute that they could have lost their jobs check out the Union of Concerned Scientists or what is currently happening in Florida is someone uses the CC words) to speak out about what they see as a danger to our planet
You mean like the people that investigated Climategate? - - - Updated - - - First one is totally false. Second one, yes, government whose agenda is power and control.
You claim that Cato and Frazier are corrupted by "big oil" money and yet the actions of the IPCC and the Obama administration has been to destroy the coal industry in the US. Doesn't that benefit "big oil" ?? And as Hoosier8 pointed out - there is big money in the global warming industry - mostly from governments who seek control. This is the problem with the governmental science complex. Government money goes to funding scientific research selectively. What percentage of government grants goes to studies focused on falsifying the global warming theory - very little. Falsifiability is the basis of the scientific method. With the adverse effects of global warming policy on our economy it would make more sense to focus on challenging the general circulation model scenarios before damaging our economy and reducing the increasing growth rate of our standard of living. But that is not what is happening. What is happening is that policy is being driven by the precautionary principle which looks at the high temperature model scenarios and justifies damaging policies as insurance. What is happening in Florida ??
You seem to be very confused. What you call "big oil" and the 'coal industry' are basically the same thing, owned by much the same people, with identical financial interests. Burning coal for energy is the most carbon emitting way of generating electricity, oil is second and gas third. The President's efforts to get the country off of using coal is intended to reduce carbon emissions, and it has nothing to do with your fantasy of "benefiting" "big oil". There is actually an incredibly minor amount of money to be made studying global warming...compared to the amounts of money that various players in the fossil fuel industry have been paying for decades to try to deny human-caused, CO2 driven global warming and its inevitable consequent climate changes and disruptions, and confuse the public about the reality and huge dangers of the situation we're facing, and about the absolute reality of the worldwide scientific consensus on this subject. Your drivel is meaningless garbage. The coastal areas of Florida are increasingly getting flooded at high tide. Large areas of the state are going to be submerged and enormous amounts of very valuable coastal infrastructure are going to be destroyed within decades. Scientist warns much of Florida will be underwater within next few decades August 23, 2015
Which companies are involved in both petroleum products and coal ?? In fact oil & gas companies are coming out in favor of reducing carbon emissions by joining in on the "war on coal." http://www.wsj.com/articles/oil-ind...-gas-ahead-of-climate-change-talks-1433258932 Behing paywall ^ Google - Oil Industry Pushes Gas Ahead of Climate-Change Talks The US government spends ~ $22B per year in grants and other studies on global warning. That's a bit more than a minor amount of money. https://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/de...gislative_reports/fcce-report-to-congress.pdf So nothing happening in Florida right now but within a few years all the ice in the world will be melted and Florida will be under water ??
Wanless nickname is Dr. Doom. He predicts a 4.5 times higher rate of sea level rise than the IPCC does so in all the left wing outlets that livefree likes to read, he is called a climate 'expert'.
Mr John L Casey is one of America's most successful climate change researchers and climate prediction experts. He is the leading advocate in the US for a national and international plan to prepare for the next climate change to one of a dangerous cold climate era. This new cold era is caused by a historic decline in the Sun's energy output, what he calls a "solar hibernation." The ideas are encapsulated in Casey's RC Theory of solar variability. Mr. John L. Casey is the former White House space program adviser, consultant to NASA Headquarters, and space shuttle engineer. He is the President of Space and Science Research Center
Most of the solar scientist don't buy into the current Western hysteria over CO2 including the Russian Accademy of Science.
It's all about finding another way to scam the people to get more money. When it gets cooler/colder where do you go to get warm because there's not enough sun to power your electricity and your wind turbine has frozen over?

Here is a big surprise! The oceans have been rising since the end of the last glaciation period and will continue to do so until the next. Why some people think it is unusual because ice melts when it is warmer is beyond me.
