A massive reevaluation of national wealth must occur in order to finance....

I wonder how the introduction of something like the Stanley Meyer hydrogen fuel cell technology could affect the Stock market?????

But.......... even if the belief in a general global warming trend that is held by so many of us is misguided.....IF...… that false belief could inspire leaders in many nations to support projects like The Sahara Forest Project and/ or the Sahara Solar Breeder Project............… then would that not be a good use to put the energy generated by that "false" belief toward?????

Yes........ the higher levels of atmospheric CO2 seem to be causing a certain amount of greening in parts of the Sahara Desert that now have vegetation on them..... but the level of humidity in the air has not changed there.......... So scientists are thinking that it must be the increased CO2 that plants thrive on???!

I am confident that The Donald will look at this question more objectively than Mr. Gore has done!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/humor...2000-election-but-negates-global-dimming.html

In alternate time line Mr. Gore wins the 2000 election but negates Global Dimming....

    .....

The ash, soot and dust that goes into the atmosphere from all those smoke stacks...… over the short term...… tends to mask/decrease a general global warming trend!!!!!!!!!

    ....

Could a win by Mr. Al Gore in 2000 have led to America being 15% submerged under the oceans by January 1, 2013?

Time does look like a menorah....... or tree with branches and roots... … and is not confined to being a straight line...…

In theory....... Mr. Gore's policy could have ended up greatly decreasing the Global Dimming Effect..... at the same time that it might do little to reduce a general Global Warming trend.... which could lead to rapid warming.....and of course increased cracking and sliding on the land based Greenland Ice Pack.... the world's glaciers and the outer regions of Antarctica......

Prime Minister Stephen Harper and President Bush may have deliberately allowed somewhat bad policy to continue...… because they probably had been told that the factors that increase Global Dimming..... do tend to mask Global Warming.... .which could mean within five decades we may know that that they may have had a basically good idea..... in comparison to worst possible alternative.....??????!!!

You see there is where we differ Professor Peabody!

I see the concern over climate change as a possible catalyst to inspire a whole new way of looking at USA and Canadian central banking policy itself.........… that sure seems to be directed toward producing an artificially high national debt that tends to break unions?!

Do you think I am naïve to suspect that The Donald might just be the President who would have the courage to attempt something along what President John F. Kennedy tried to do?

What is this national wealth? Does this mean the wealth that people own? That's not national wealth, but personal wealth.

As for global warming, it's not a problem.

I actually agree with you on global warming potentially being an opportunity...… if it is looked at differently!

We humans are rather forced to do what we can to stabilize the climate and....... one of the easiest ways is to alter the economy of the entire Middle East away from warfare and into agriculture based on desalination technology!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...t-work-fast-enough-address-wais-collapse.html

A carbon tax will NOT work fast enough to address WAIS collapse.

A tax on carbon will take centuries to address the real issues associated with the impending collapse of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet!

I wonder how it is that you know so much more than all those actual scientists.

You have a science degree right?

You've been published in this field?

lol Your answer kinda shows you only read the fist couple words of his post

So you think that anything the human race can do will stop it?

From what the people who think man made global warming is real say, we are far past the point of no return.

So isnt he right? Whether or not its man made or us coming out of the little ice age?

    You're dodging my question.

How much of your personal income are you willing to give up in order to achieve your "green" energy goals? 10%......40%......75%? How much.

You see there is the thing......… I am of the belief that at least one aspect of the era of Moshiach/ Messiah can be initiated through the implementation of a flat tax of nine percent!

I am serious........... since the Jewish scriptures state that the "king" will take ten percent of their wages........... if a President or a Prime Minister were to initiate a taxation system based on LESS than ten percent.............. an out pouring of the Ruach ha Kodesh - the Holy Spirit will occur???!!! (I think)!??!

It is like there is a riddle...… dark saying of the wise..... hidden within every single verse of the Jewish Bible....... including this one...…

    1Samuel 8:7

"And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.".....

    .....
    1Sa 8:11

"And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.

    1Sa 8:15

And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. "

Yes......… I have been told that what I am proposing sounds a lot like BITCOIN!

But I do believe that at least one major USA State should mint their own State coin....... and should encourage local governments to initiate the printing up of local currencies similar to The Ithaca Hour?!

Utah......… could be the perfect state to initiate a plan to divert Mitt away from dividing the G. O. P......…

Nope...I want to know on what basis he is disputing actual scientists.

And as I thought...he's doing it based on ideology and not science.

I guess you mean 9%, added to your 9% flat tax would give you 18% of your total income. I'm already paying 15%, I really don't see how your green energy goals can be achieved at that tax rate. Do you have any numbers to back that up?

"Our current financial system diverts us from our real problems to ask, "Where is the money going to come from?" This should be the least of our worries. As long as we have vast unmet human needs and idle human and nonhuman resources, and resources which can be diverted from wasteful activities such as the military, finance should never be allowed to stand in the way of doing what must be done. Could anything be more insane than for the human race to die out because we "couldn't afford" to save ourselves?" (John Hotson)

This is a philosophical comment above which does have merit but in reality we are a broke nation, in debt, with most all Americans refusing to pay increased taxes. Yes we have waste and spending priority issues but none of this has been changed in years. Same old spending and same old problems. Slight political tweaks along the way but basically government business as usual. No matter the reasons, right or wrong, when as a nation we have tens of millions of Americans 'feeling' poor, with little hope, it's almost impossible to expect them to support complex and extraneous policy that they perceive solves nothing in their very small worlds. We can reform, and we can transition, but today these actions might take decades to achieve...

But..... what if the truth of the whole thing is that we have deliberately defined ourselves as looking bankrupt on paper...… in order to break unions?

This seems to be the situation up here in Canada....

    www.BankingSystemFlaws.blogspot.ca/

My name is Dennis Tate. I lived most of my forty seven years in West Lochiel Lake, Guysborough County. I am running for MLA as an independent in the area of Pictou Centre so that I can help as many people as possible become more aware of what I am sure is the real reason why our roads are in disrepair, why hospital beds are unused, why so many of the rural schools have been shut down, why our soldiers in Afghanistan are poorly equipped and why many if not most of our young people may have to leave Nova Scotia to find jobs.

When well trained workers have high quality technology to work with then the total of all wages and benefits paid out to employees is only a fraction of the retail value of the products they produce. As a result of this fact the only way to move products out of warehouses is to extend higher and higher levels of credit. One problem with an abundance of red ink is that compound interest on all this government, business and personal debt over a period of decades will grow to astronomical levels. At this time there is approximately TEN TIMES as much debt in Canada as there is money. A simple explanation for how this happened can be seen here:
    http://www.michaeljournal.org/plenty34.htm

In my opinion this rather simple mathematical problem is perhaps the number one cause of inflation in the Canadian economy over the past three decades. This is also perhaps the number one reason why our costs of production are so high and Canadian products cannot compete on the world markets as well as they could under better conditions.

From 1940 to 1970 the Government of Canada put roughly half of the total money supply into the economy through loans issued through the federally owned Bank of Canada. Provincial and municipal governments could borrow the money to build roads, schools, hospitals and sewage treatment facilities at zero or one percent interest. In 1970 we changed our system and since that time a higher and higher percentage of all government debt is financed through loans issued through privately owned banks. At this time it is ninety eight percent. This policy may be great for our banking sector but it was estimated that in the one year of 1995 alone our federal government could have saved roughly SIXTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS in interest payments if we had gone back to creating half the total money supply through these low interest rate loans issued through the bank that is OWNED BY ALL CANADIANS.

Considering that our deficit was approximately thirty billion dollars for that year, simply by changing back to an already proven monetary and banking system, we could theoretically have had a FEDERAL BUDGET SURPLUS OF THIRTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS in 1995.

The massive cutbacks in the Canadian military, in health care, highway construction, social programs and education were profoundly affected by these accounting practices?

So what can you and I do about this problem?
    1. If we will do our homework and study this question we can put pressure on our provincial level politicians to create a provincially owned bank. A true Bank of Nova Scotia owned by all Nova Scotians could be used to finance town and municipal government projects at zero or one percent interest just as The Bank of Canada used to do.

    2. Town and municipal government officials in New Glasgow, Stellarton and Trenton should seriously consider creating a local currency unit such as has been done in Ithaca, New York.
    .ithacahours.org/directory.php

This is a great way to promote local businesses and help sustain rural economies.

    3. It is also possible for groups of concerned individuals to get together and organize a local barter exchange as a cooperative. Mr. Rob Assels has been instrumental in just such an initiative in the Tatamagouche and River John area so surely we can get similar organizations up and running here in New Glasgow, Pictou, Stellarton, Trenton and Westville. Here is a link into the Halifax LETS system:

Your plan will destroy the US economy. Thats why its not gonna happen.

My plan for the stimulus money was to redirect the over flow of the Mississippi river to the desert southwest, with roman style unpowered aqueducts. Sadly obama and pals chose to give a trillion to their campaign donors, and relatives, instead of creating the shovel ready jobs they promised.

and idiots wonder why we're 19 trillion in debt.

You underestimate us diabolical English aristocrats OldManOnFire.

We not only have plans to break unions................. for our own set of less than entirely honest and ethical reasons........ a powerful case can be presented that we have conspired to keep ninety percent of the population of America pretty much in line with our goals...... by putting them into a mentality of slavery to us through unnecessary debt.

We Brits..... with the notable exception of a minority such as Sir Winston Churchill...... tend to be quite anti-Semitic and we don't want Americans to clue to how critical the Mosaic institution of Jubilee really is!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/opini...etary-policy-central-american-revolution.html
Is it historically accurate that monetary policy was central to American Revolution?
    ....
    ....

    .....
... Reply #44 to that discussion explains WHY we did this?

HailVictory is correct........ we Brits felt that you Americans were complacent and lazy.

Not to mention the fact that your ancestors shot, boiled, barbecued, fried passenger pigeons into extinction?!?!

We British elites tend to be at least somewhat interested in environmentalism!

Frankly..... your idea is better than you might at first imagine.

I saw a documentary entitled "Cowspiracy" a few months ago.

Astonishing amounts of fluorides and other chemicals are going into the Gulf of Mexico by way of the Mississippi.

These chemicals are largely responsible for the dead zones there. Your plan might just be one of the only ways to clean up the Mississippi and thus....... set the stage for the recovery of the Gulf of Mexico?????!
