They invented a new term to describe monogamy in long term, stable gay relationships. "Monogamish" which means NOT monogamous.

 

Left wing Utopian fantasy will beat right wing Orwellian fantasy, by ten percent or more, every day of the week.

 

That's because 96% of the people are in a straight lifestyle. Gays make up 4% of the population.

Actually its a bit higher than heterosexual women. Most self identified lesbians also engage in sex with men. MORE male sexual partners than the average heterosexual woman. Also, more likely to be in the sex trade and more likely to use intravenous drugs.

 

I mean, I'm almost 60 years old, was in the military for most of my youth (35+ years, and participated in every conflict over that time). I'm single, have close friends but no boyfriend, no fancy decorations in my home, only stepped into a gay bar 2 times in my life and avoid relational 'drama' like the plague. I don't hammer straight people with my gayness and I'm a deeply spiritual person. I visit Chic-fil-A and Chipoltle every once in awhile too; is THAT a 'gay' thing??

My 'lifestyle' is that of a single, productive, compassionate and happy man. Whatever the FRACK this "gay" lifestyle is, I have no clue what that could be. Been looking for the "gay agenda" too for 45 years, and haven't seen that either.

 

Well... some people don't 'like' gays (or are afraid of homosexuality), so they will express their aversion to the same any way they can. Despite many of those expressions being loaded with irrationality and cognitive dissonances.

Being gay is as real/valid as being straight... but some people will jump though every MENTAL hoop in the world, to convince themselves otherwise.

Don't know what standards you use to judge validity, but heterosexual sex is responsible for the perpetuation of the human species. Gay sex is responsible for over 67% of the HIV cases in the US and little else.

 

Being a human being who has lived a fairly long life. That's helps a lot.

What then is your opinion of gays who never contract AIDS? Some areas of the world AIDS is mainly a heterosexual illness. AIDS is the problem and abstenence, safe sex, not using IV drugs, and safe injection sites are the solution. Making it a gay issue is illogical in the fight to mitigate the AIDS epidemic.

I really doubt that percentage, given Doctor patient confidentiality, there are no accurate AIDS Transmission statistics.

 

I could not find current statistics but this CDC site (http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/group/msm/index.html) suggests 63% of new HIV cases in 2010 were gay/bisexual/etc, but let's stop and think about those statistics for a moment. I could not find numbers there for 2010 but for 2013 this site says 14,611 were diagnosed with HIV. The site also says approximately 2% of the population is gay/bisexual/etc.

US Population (2013) was 316.5 million = 316,500,000 persons
Gay/bisexual/etc (2013) was 2% of 316.5 million = 0.02 * 316,500,000 = 6,330,000 gay/bisexual/etc
How many Gay/bisexual/etc were diagnosed with HIV ? 14,611 of 6,330,000 = 0.0023 = 0.23% (less than 1% of gay/bisexual/etc persons)

Please check my math. The numbers were not presented clearly, and I could have misplaced a decimal point in the process.

Last I heard, the major vector of AIDS/HIV is IV drug users.

With voluntary testing and treatment, AIDS can be stopped.
