Quite frankly, they most likely don't care about your point of view as well.

Most likely they have little tolerance for people stuck in the stone age with their views on gun ownership.

Honestly I could care less about how many guns or situation you've had to defend yourself; you most likely chose to live in an armpit neighborhood; well that's your business but don't come whining here about others who you believe don't know anything about defending ourselves. What you basically are saying is that people who don't agree with your mantra ought to shut up and remain silent, just like in communist countries. Well comrade, don't expect any quarter from me in this thread.

You choose to live in a manhole; I didn't. You need to make better choices in life. As for those unfortunate people in the club unless you stood in their shoes you have no idea what they were thinking.

You and your family obviously made bad choices on where to live. I could care less what happened outside the United States; that's the problem for those living in those countries and not ours. Out of respect, I'd suggest that you need professional help to assist you with putting those memories aside and moving forward in life.

You should learn to be more tolerant of others who who view things different then you do.

Since you don't personally know me, I could care less what your opinion is on this or whose shoes you've stood in.

Obviously your views are of a communistic standpoint. I didn't dictate anything; rather expressed an opinion, so get over it. If you'd like to apologize to me for what you've maintained about my viewpoint, I will gladly accept it and we'll put this whole mess behind us.

If you need a CCW to "maintain your honor" that's a really sad commentary. You'd be better off helping out in a soup kitchen or counselling drug addicts. At least you're actually making a true difference in society.

Finally, you may have been raised with all these sense of honor and moral obligations, however whoever raised you failed to instruct you that people are entitled to their opinions without you personally attacking them

    Nope.

You put someone in a crowded room with an AR15, a 45 or a shotgun and you're going to have the same number of casualties.

I disagree, I think some guns like Machine guns should be harder to get then pistols, shotguns, ect.....

just like speaking in some locations is harder then getting on a soap box and talking

Machine guns are harder to get than pistols, shotguns, semi-automatic rifles, etc.

I am not a gun banner, in fact I probbaly support more people ownign guns then you..

I support all free Americans right to own guns, even ex-fellons and those with mental issue like depression and anxiety

every American has a right to protect their homes and families

making a gun harder to get is not the same as gun bannings

I also think there should be no background checks on handguns and rifles and I think concealed carry should NOT require permission

so do you agree with ALL of the above.. or are you a gun banner? (my guess is not you will start to backstep)

I'm secure in my positions but thanks.

Anyone who can be trusted back into society, felon or not, should have their rights restored. I temper this by saying I don't support violent felons such as rapists ever being able to get firearms, but then I don't support them ever getting out of jail either.

Here's what I don't understand about your position:

If everyone can be trusted to have a firearm, then why are they not trustworthy enough to possess any of them.

I've personally seen what m16's, shotguns, and (to a limited extent) handguns are capable of in combat. The only advantages of one platform over the other is range. You get shot with an AR15, shotgun, or 45 at self defense ranges center mass and you're dead, unless a hospital is nearby.

I think some guns require longer waiting periods to give the government more time to make sure they are not a terrorsit

    - - - Updated - - -

confused, why would the RNC use Quicken Loan Arena's then, find another that allows guns, show their support

Backstep? Hardly, as my views have been made very clear for years. But your views are clear despite your claims to support gun rights - as you are the one who wants to limit access to guns and implement "common sense" reforms. Clearly you are a gun banner claiming to support gun rights, but nobody is fooled.

I'd be more interested in the government taking more time to make sure that terrorists aren't even in the country.

My guess would be that there are no convention centers that allow firearms.

most terrorists in the USA are sadly Americans

why are their no convention centers that allow firearms? should those not be magnets for terrorists then?

obviously your must be new here as I have made my views quite clear over the years.... I am more pro-2nd then most republicans

by the way, you did not answer the question, are you a gun banner or do you support ex-felons also being allowed the right to protect their homes and families with a gun as the 2nd gives them the right to do

    simple question, but nice dodge

Sadly we hand out citizenship too easily, unlike the rest of the world.

I'm sure they will definitely be targets.

For the RNC, the danger is outside. For the DNC, the danger will be inside.

Sure, some 70% of the country identifies as at least token-Christians, while 0.9% identify as Muslims. We've gone over this before.

All of the abortion clinic bombings in this countries history doesn't add up to one Orlando or San Bernardino though.

Also, you cannot equate a religious ideology with a political one. If liberals really considered Muslims "conservatives" they wouldn't spend all their effort defending them.

Christians have had a violent past too, Muslims did not have those history here either until recently...

we really need to make this a war on terror, regardless of who the terrorists it, if they be Muslim, Christian, atheist.... whatever.....

That would of had sooo much more impact if you had said "whatever gets you up chuck" :roflol:

HEY..... Chuck is a good guy! Be nice

    - - - Updated - - -

So passing more laws making it even more illegal to kill someone, or more illegal for a criminal to own a gun, or more illegal to drive drunk, is doubling down on stupid. How about proposing something to actually stop criminal behavior?

Well in the magical world of France, that has already happened where all assault style weapons are out of the hands of virtually all honest citizens and even most cops.

So when full-auto AK-47's were easily bought from Muslims in the Balkans and brought to Paris and they shot up the place---all the French Liberals could do was stick their heads further into the sand.

Pearl of Wisdom: Punish the felons and ban Islam from the West.

"Banned" just means that possession will lead to criminal charges. Those unwilling to risk prison will turn in their ARs. If someone was willing to risk prison time committing murder, why would they care about an AR ban?

Wrong, it's not about disagreement, it's about the facts. Just look at the last (every) weekend in Chicago. Not a single GOP member, NRA member, Tea Party member or for that matter any Whitey involved.

I have answered that question before.

The justice system is supposed to punish for misdeeds, and rehabilitate people who have committed crimes. Once a person has paid their debt to the victim, and has been rehabilitated, then they should be free to exercise all the rights a person is entitled to - including owning a firearm and voting.

Many people are more supportive of the Constitution - and gun rights - than many Republicans. Many Republicans are "progressive"-lite, they are the right wing of the prog party.

But since you support "common sense" gun control, you are obviously one of those gun banners parading in gun-rights clothing trying to gain credibility. Nobody is fooled.

There is no evidence of rehabilitation occurring.

It is likely mutual... I am ok with that.

Better than being stuck in some fantasy world. I would suggest at least 12O million in this country share my views....

That is an incorrect assumption on your part. I like a lot of people have lived in places where I didn't have a choice in the matter. Should all those people just be abandoned?

As for my experiences, some people learn from people that recount their experiences in situation they have never been. I have learned from many that have experienced what I haven't; helps me frame how I might deal with similar situations. The experiences I have seen were pretty bad in some cases, but I also know there are others that have seen/experienced far, far worse... My Da for instance.

As for my leaning communist, I have never told anyone in my life to shut up, even people that have gotten in my face and insulted me. Words can't shake me or move me raise my voice or my hand. Further, I am an advocate of personal liberty and freedom as long as those of others are not infringed... a central tenant of the Constitution. You and others advocating removing guns from the law abiding want to infringe on the liberty and freedom of others in the interest of the collective... hmmm, what does that sound like?

I grew up in poverty, in a place where there was little hope of rising above that. That was then. I did sort it out without assistance. If you had a better life, good for you. A huge number of people in this Country are not as fortunate.

As for the other, in similar circumstance, I have worked on their behalf to help them to as I did, including providing funds, starting a school for those without means, and far more.

I don't blame my circumstance on my parents; they did what they could with the limitations they had.

Many Americans don't care what happens outside the US. Many don't care about history either. But, without understanding what goes on outside the US and understanding history there is always the potential of making the mistakes that others have, not recognizing key indicators that might point to things going south, and not preparing for when things do.

As for your condescending suggestion I seek counsel, I dealt with my demons a long, long time ago. I don't want to remove the memories, they help me keep things in the perspective of reality and arm me (pun intended) with knowledge of how to deal with most situations. Those experiences also contributed to me being able to remain calm and focused situations I have encountered since.

I don't have problems with people that have different views than mine, but I do have little tolerance for people advocating trampling on the rights of others.

Obviously. Being a victim of predatory violence, personally seeing innocent, unarmed people murdered by oppressive governments bent on genocide and living outside a protected community brings a different perspective; one based in the real world not some fantasy that a sheltered life engenders.

Again, my views are about as far from communistic as possible. I am for individual liberty and freedom not the primacy of the 'commune' over the individual where individual liberties and freedoms are suppressed. You opinion in these discussions on the contrary is one that consistently advocates infringing on the liberties and freedoms of others.

Apologize? Laughable. Sorry my opinion and point of view stresses you...

I don't use CCW to maintain my honor, this is a misstatement of what I said. I have it because it is my right and because I have a moral obligation to protect those around me. If I was in a country where all gun ownership was denied, which I have been in from time to time, I don't carry a gun, but I am not relieved of my moral obligation to others. Nor, when I attend venues where guns are not allowed do I carry and violate the law nor do I live in fear, it simply means I have less at my disposal should the need to protect myself or those around me.

I have worked and volunteers in many situations of providing help to those in need in this country and others. Have you?

I was raised to speak my mind. I don't care if it offends you. I don't particularly care if you personally want to attack me for some need you might have, means nothing to my sense of purpose or self. Have at it if it suits you. I might respond or I might find it boring.
