I have to agree. I really do wonder as to why we attack Russia for trying to keep what have been it's contiguous provinces for centuries while we interfere in nations which have no history with us 8000 miles away. It's very much as if Putin was supporting the separatists we have in Texas. This is particularly the case since the Independence movement in Ukraine seems about as strong as ours in Texas, which is to say that nobody really cares much about being independent in either area. ( OTOH I really don't know that much about Independence sentiment in Ukraine firsthand but only from the study of Ukraine's history, which has marked similarities to that of Texas.)
