Whilst I may not agree with what Trumps' say, I do think that they know exactly what they are doing when running their mouths. More publicity. That's what they're meant to do at that age
met·a·phor/ˈmedəˌfôr,ˈmedəˌfər/ - noun a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable. Looks like a lot of media people were fast asleep in English Class.
you do know Jews weren't the only ones killed in "Gas Chambers". Many death row inmates were killed in gas chambers and so were dogs and cats that ended up in the pond and because Trump was talking about Clintons criminal behavior the metaphor was more in line with death row inmates death sentence by the gas chamber
There's been 11 death row inmates killed by Lethal Gas since 1976. I highly doubt that was the "metaphor" he was implying...
so when did quantity become the deciding factor on a metaphor? I would say context is more of a factor and because Trump Jr was referring to Clintons criminal activity death row lethal gas would be more fitting But I understand that does fit you predetermined narrative so to be able to have your little fake outrage fit
OP, I somehow missed all your "registered republican" (LOL) threads on the US LW trivializing WW2 by calling their opposition Nazis and "literally Hitler" FOR DECADES. I'm sure I just didn't find them, please link.
You might want to freshen up on US history and the death penalty... - - - Updated - - - How many pages would that tax release be and are you claiming you would 1) understand it all 2) not gleam to something small that you claim is a sign of something illegal when its not...
You're the one claiming that "many" death row inmates were put down by lethal gas. I don't consider 11 in 40 years to be "many" at all. It's not an "outrage fit". I'm simply stating the stupidity of the comment itself. It doesn't matter who said it, Trump Jr, Trump, Clinton, it doesn't matter. It's a comment that shouldn't have been made. I'd feel the same way if someone made a stupid comment making reference to 9/11, Pearl Harbor, etc.
I'm sorry, I don't read every single thread/post made on this forum. I'll try to do a better job for you... (For the record, they are stupid too for making references like that - you can mark this one down in your books that I'm against it )
Every single day, I think I couldn't be more amazed at the pure BS the left comes up with. This newest gas chamber thing is about as ridiculous as it comes. When I hear "gas chamber", I think of capital punishment. Execution of criminals. And, most unfortunately, a means to euthanize stray/unwanted dogs and cats. The Holocaust is about the last thing I think of. I'm sorry Don Jr. didn't tell moronic George Stephanopoulos to just shut up when he interviewed him this morning.
While I agree that the "gas chamber" reference was ill advised, the truth of what Donald Jr. is saying is undeniable: the mainstream media will do whatever it can to put Hillary Clinton's activities in the very best light, and Donald Trump's in the very worst.
That's just the thing, I never said he was wrong. I said it was a stupid comment. I'm not for Hillary at all, yet because I don't like Donald Trump and think he was the worst decision for Republicans, I get attacked and slated as "the left" or "liberal". Which is pretty funny because I've made posts and shown my dislike of Hillary before. My only point to this thread is the stupidity of the comment itself, not that he was wrong, which seems to have been completely overlooked by a lot of people that posted here.
