Why is it that anytime someone disagrees with a Christian they are attacking? Hell even another Christian becomes unchristian if they do and start yet another version so they can accuse the fist Christian of being the attacker. It's pretty sad to watch the persecution complex make people cry to mommy.
Clearly so. There really is very little point in trying to have a rational discussion with someone who pretends that "LGBTs" have a singular morality that they wish to impose on everyone else, or that they're out to destroy religion, etc. The accusations are utter twaddle from the beginning, based on completely false premises that seek to ignore the diversity within the L, G, B, & T populations.
I saw that when a man tried to threaten me with extreme violence, when I faced him and bared my teeth, he backed down and threatened to call 911, and I laughed in his face and said call 911, he huffed and ran off..
Okay....so the Christian tactic is to get mean enough to provoke violence and hope it does not happen? Sounds like a pretty plss poor idea...no wonder they cry attack.
No, a "war" on religion is perfectly constitutional. Because all that has happened is that it is criticized, as all religion should be. Well as long as morons follow it blindly. Now i know you caterwall a lot about the half dozen or so instances where a business was attacked by people based on their discrimination of sexual orientation. Is call those isolated incidence. But if you think that is what lgbt people want collectively than i gites it's safe then to assume the Christian "church" is just a pedophilia cult, based on the isolated incidence thereof.
Persecution Complex is an extremely unattractive affliction that paints Religious whiners in a light of childish tantrum. It seems that the laws of society equate to warfare in the God Mind.....what happened to "Give unto Caesar"?
` I've seen too many stupid people get hung up on the phrase "War on____________". In the English language, people use "war" as a metaphor. In colloquial political speech, war metaphors are used to manage a perceived societal problem, with the concept taking the place of an individual or state enemy. These are not to be taken literally. Concepts such as the; ` cold war war on crime, war on drugs, war on women, war on gays, war on journalists, culture wars, war on christians, war on stupidity, war on free speech, war on education, war on teachers, etc, etc` are just figurative participles of our language.
I'm willing to bet if the christians thay are crying about this just were to buck up and quit wetting their diapers about it, it would all go away. Believe what you want and don't worry with what others think.
I don't think that's what he/she is saying, Battle. It seems more along the lines I see things ..... I dislike most religions, but I defend the individual's right to hold whatever beliefs they want, and to verbally express same. I'm also a defender of gay marriage, but I stop at imposing LGBT accommodations by law. Religious institutions should be allowed to say whatever they want about whoever they want, whenever they want. Those who don't like what they're saying can stay away - just like they've always done. I don't like most of what Christians say about things important to me, so I don't go to churches.
You should win the award for the most ridiculous post. With LGBT rights and gay marriage did you take that approach of just ignoring it so it would all go away? What a total hypocrite. - - - Updated - - - Then we agree.
Sounds like I struck a nerve. Well, marriage was a matter solved by courts. This is kind of like feminism. People being critical of religion equates to attack. You said it yourself religion will survive in the hearts of the believers. I agree, war has never killed it and it never will. Be that criticism or actual war. So you have nothing to fear or wet your pants over. Just have faith in what you say. Besides I don't see anybody advocating the repeal of the first amendment so your religious freedoms are safe and sound.
Well look at that, we agree. I don't support accommodation laws of any kind. And I agree with the first amendment on religion.
But will they remain so? If the legislators don't even know where to draw lines, or draw them so badly that no one knows what the law actually is, it means they can (and likely will) draw the lines anywhere they damn please. And keep re-drawing them until religious institutions can't say anything at all, about anything. While I personally would love to see that happen (being no fan of religion), I will stand on the side of those being silenced .. always. Even if what they're saying is, in my opinion, putrid and stupid.
Did you make the same argument when the issue was LGBT marriage, or LGBT accommodation? No, you did not. When it matters to you, you fight for what you believe in. When its something you oppose, hate, or it just doesn't have any impact on you, then you say its not a big deal and just be quiet and sit down. Total hypocrite.
I don't argue for accommodation laws. I don't believe in them. Right, I don't sit around wetting my pants about a war being fought against me. I am right about it and the right thing prevailed. No that isn't hypocritical. That's called being opinionated. if you don't like my opinion (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) and moan about it call me all the names in the book like all the other little snow flake sjws in the world, just don't expect me to be intimidated by your ridiculous name calling. It doesn't work sweetheart.
Will what remain so? Well then they have the judiciary and the executive branch to deal with. Checks and balances. Well that's nice but when has the freedom of religion ever been abridged?
What the point that differing opinions are attacks on you? Go start a tumbler and cry about it there.
The whole "LGBT war on religion" is complete BS. Religion, on the other hand, has been at war with the LGBT community for years.
