And why would it be in my own self-interest to do that?

It was the responsibility of Clinton to protect her own campaign server, it was the responsibility of the DNC to protect their own server. It was not the responsibility of the US Government to protect it.

And the "we lost because hackers who happen to be Russian hacked our exposed email system and let out all the nefarious Nixonian campaign tricks we were up to and how the MSM was acting to influence the results of the election by giving us direct aid and influence in their reporting" excuse ain't gonna make it.

So you're admitting the Russians were hacking her servers? You know placing our national security in danger?

There's one question that not enough people are asking, is why did the DNC let itself get hacked in the first place? The DNC may be a private organization, but the governmental and political information that runs through it should get the adequate defense and protection it deserves. We're supposed to be the most advanced nation in the world but can't sufficiently defend against cyber attacks? We have to be the best at that kind of thing, bar none. Not to absolve Russia from any accountability, but the DNC and our government as a whole screwed up too by letting this happen.

Until we as a nation take responsibility for our defense from adversaries instead of just playing the blame game, this type of thing deserves to happen.

Yep, the Russians found dirt on Hillary.... Too bad she was dirty and that made her unelectable. Tough luck, see if you can nominate someone who is not dirty and cares about the American people (aka the deplorables) next time.

I agree. Although if Russia is reasonable for the hacking then America has to retaliate. We just can't allow them to think they can get away with stuff like that. Putin will push and if he doesn't meet resistance he'll push harder and harder until he breaks something we own.

Another fake news story of another fake news story...From the link..
    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/09/u...column-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news

One senior government official, who had been briefed on an F.B.I. investigation into the matter, said

Oh really? Who is that 'one senior' official anyway?

“We now have high confidence that they hacked the D.N.C. and the R.N.C., and conspicuously released no documents” from the Republican organization, one senior administration official said, referring to the Russians.

There they go again...'one senior administration official'...As if we are supposed to believe this tripe.

The NYT article is a perfect example of why no one trusts the MSM anymore. A whole 'news' story centered around conjecture and made to look real. It's really amazing how some of you people fall for this garbage time afer time after time.

Tsk tsk, looks like Russian hackers exposed the Clinton crime family along with how corrupt the DNC is and exposed the Democrat party being a banana republic political party.

Funny, when did the CIA start releasing to the public what they know ? SOP for the CIA, they don't mention what they know or don't know. Something about being an intelligence agency and keeping secrets.

The Russian hackers also exposed that CNN, ABC News, CBS News MSNBC and NBC News, the Washington Post and the New York Times were all in collusion with the DNC and the Hillary campaign.

I am absolutely blown away by the brilliance of Putin. If Trump’s win was the biggest con job ever, with Trump the greatest conman to walk this earth, Putin has to be the greatest puppet master the world has ever known.

Not only does the US walking away from the TPP, give China the Asia Pacific, but now it’s very likely the Secretary of State to be announced shortly will be working for the greater good of Russia :roflol:

    http://www.businessinsider.com.au/trumps-reported-pick-for-secretary-of-state-has-longstanding-ties-to-the-russian-government-2016-12

I cannot wait to see what other strings Putin the puppeteer is going to pull, certainly this will be made into a Hollywood movie someday… perhaps even in Russian with English subscripts lol

Makes you feel real good about when Clinton was a REAL novice at it and set up her own private server through which to conduct ALL her official and unofficial communications as Secretary of State.

Quite ironic those who claim the Russians did not hack her private system while SecState because there is no evidence they did by there is no evidence they hacked the DNC and her campaign private serer but they claim they did.

Yep I think they are having a KKK rally next week.

And private campaign and whatever servers they could find. So you admit the Russians were hacking her private servers? You know what her defenders claim if there is no evidence then it did not occur.

Even in this CIA letter all they said was people who have been associated with Russian leaders. But that being said surely you don't we believe the CIA isn't hacking into Russian cites. Wikileaks says it wasn't the Russian government.

And the bottom line is was in of the information discovered in the emails proven false, nope. So what was released was simply the truth, stuff like 60 MInutes or the Washington Post might have pulled had they been interested. It would be one thing if the Russian government was surreptitiously creating false emails and releasing them to the press. But whoever was doing it was only releasing the truth. It was their own arrogance about it that got them in trouble.

Russia, China and Japan all have cybernationationalism programs. This isn't about helping Trump win. This is grooming the American public with the message that all our high tech toys are no good against them.

If Russia is involved do you think America should take no action? If America takes no action then doesn't that say to Russia that they can do it again?

It says Trump is more efficient.

Actually it was Saddam who assured everyone that he had them and he even boasted that he had every intention of using them on us, the intelligence community could not refute his statements, so we reacted accordingly.

Words mean things and it's important to use the right ones.

IF, Russia released truthful information that the DNC tried to keep hidden, I'm not mad at them. I hope they continue to find and release factual, truthful information in the future once they find it.

I'm excited that Trump will lead us toward a more peaceful and profitable future, with Russia and the World, and you should be too.

I imagine that we are going to have to kick someone's ass though, to shed the stigma of being a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) for the last 8 years. Not to say that we are just going to jump on some nation willy nilly but someone is going to test us, I just wonder which nation it's going to be.

    North Korea?

    China?

This is where the democratic process falls down; the unthinking dumbed-down masses vastly outnumber the more thoughtful and intelligent members of the electorate. I actually believe there should be a minimum IQ rating for voters, below which they have the right to vote withdrawn from them.

In my opinion that sets a dangerous precedent.

As someone with Russian blood in me, yes I do hope for good relations with Russia.

    Iran seems the obvious villain.

Any of this so called "hacking" could have been achieved by any number of trojan programs found on any script kiddie's comp in the world. Would not be surprised if the method of retrieving the information turned out to be an old Sub7 trojan.

We are talking about the DNC here, right? Their password was probably "Clintonismyhero".
