Republicans defend Trump because he makes sense 50% of the time, and that is immensely better than the Obama/Pelosi/Reid team that couldn't run a popsicle stand.

Remind us; how many bankruptcies has Mr.Success overseen, and how many jobs got flushed as a result of him gaming the system which he so smugly admits to? How about that fraudulent 'university' of his; how's that doing these days? Who the hell elected this idiot? Oh yes, Americans...

It was only a commercial for a sitcom. The left, especially Hollywood, are fully irrelevant. I actually enjoyed the show until the "the cops are shooting kids in the streets!?" episode. Haven't watched it since.

You've got the simple-minded, leftist talking points down. Congratulations.

I don't give a rat's ass who your country elects, so you shouldn't care who we elect. Don't worry about it. It's not your problem.

We care very much who you elect. America is a powerful economic and military force and what America does affects the world-and usually negatively. Remember the recent Wall Street meltdown which had global repercussions and which affected me, personally, in my pocket? The insanely stupid Iraq war which we got dragged into?
So, Trump's slimy lies, business failures and tax dodging are irrelevant? What America does and who you elect are very much our problem.

    That's why we care.

Hey, nobody's perfect! [IMG] Look it's no good bellyaching about it because he's the best they've got, and seeing as our destinies are inextricably linked means he's the best we've got too - unless you can think of anyone else such as 'President Clinton' or another term of office for Obama?

Come on, man. The show looks tongue-in-cheek, seeking to defuse such sociological phenomenon like some traumatized people after Trump's election. That woman's reaction about Trump in the show looked definitely caricatural to me.

Contrary to what the OP thinks, such shows are part of a processus of acceptation. What ever happened to the second degree, anyway?

Or on it's way to season 4 since it's won a total of 16 awards dating back to the first season. Is it bothering you that much?

I guess peaceful expression of dissent must be an American's right that isn't based upon commercial interests, but entertainment - such as football - must now be politicized since a show business personality has won the electoral vote, and prissy boys are "enraged" over a promotional message about a silly tv show that airs during a football game's broadcast.

With the rise of Trumpery, it's all entertainment!

Lashing out with the obligatory, petty snivel - "one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood" - is definitely entertaining!

His worshipful cult is now part of the show.

Meanwhile, that "proven fact you will get more conservatives in your audience" must have been based upon a survey of "thousands" cheering in New Jersey! No other supporting data has been presented.

I haven't seen anyone "enraged" at what ABC did here. I AM seeing the left projecting such feelings upon posters here though. I mean, what ABC or the NFL does has little to no effect on my life. I AM saying that it's a poor business decision, but it's their company and their money; they can do with it what they please so long as they realize it's ALSO their revenue that they choose to lose. If they're fine with it, so am I.

BTW, you HAVE figured out what a football that's referenced in the article looks like, right? Just wanted to make sure.

BTW channel networks are generally supposed to advertise their shows and upcoming season debuts.

Now wait a second here. Flens is one of the better German style pilseners out there. While it is sold at the Central Market close to where I live here in Austin, I always try to seek out a fresh bottle whenever I am in the northern part of Germany.
The Flensburger Brauerei is one of the few nationally distributed brewery's that are not owned by the large German beer collective. They are still operated by the descendant family's of the original founders. Hardly a "liberal" company. Their marketing embraces the unique cultural traditions and humor of that part of the country and has become a symbol of self identity in the local region.
    Just sayin...

I could really care less about the show. If I don't want to watch it, I just won't. Simple. However, those same people defending it will be the same ones yelling and screaming and racist and bigots if it was a show about any other race, especially, *gasp*, white'ish.

That is the claim made in the thread's title: "ABC Enrages ..."

Who, precisely, is that ubiquitous "left"? Is it the 65,844,954 Americans who voted for Clinton? Does it also include Stein's voters?

I opined thusly, as well, noting that impotence and constipation advertisements would constitute far better audience targeting.

It obviously gets some wee wee'd up, apparently, and they create interest for a programme most would otherwise ignore. Advertisers are good at this sort of thing. It's what they do.

Reportedly, a "football" is a prolate spheroid constructed of cowhide - although it is often called a "pigskin" and does not normally incur a "foot" during much of the game.

I'm still awaiting the supportive empirical data for the proclamation that "during football ... its a proven fact you will get more conservatives in your audience."

I have no familiarity with this television programme, but readily defend free speech when censorship is advocated because of perceived political content in any medium.

It is the folks reportedly who have their frillies in a bunch that might want to compose themselves: "ABC Enrages NFL Viewers With Anti-Trump ‘Black-ish’ Promo", whoever they are.

Lighten up. It's just a silly tv show!

    ABC enrages NFL viewers?
Fortunately so few people watch the NFL on TV any more, only the die hard jock sniffers should be affected. (and now, even more people have a valid reason to tune out)

Personally I like it. I can now go to a restaurant on Sunday afternoon without having to worry about enraged (and drunk) NFL fans trying to take out their frustrations on everyone else.

Besides........if you want to get drunk and start fights, watching Roller Derby is the way to go.
