The bible was written using man's interpretation of what supposedly was told to them. Time didn't start until the world was created.

Of all the crazy theories that I've ever heard that one actually has some LOGIC to it! I never thought about it that way - that a "day" (counted as, yes you are right, as one revolution of the earth) could not be determined until the earth was actually created! I learn something every day! Good work.

It is not for man to understand God.

That was his followers who did that not him. Guess what women can speak in church in most religions of today.

I just now thought about many of the poor people I know personally, and most are poor because of, well, let's just say less favorable brains than most other people. But because I guess that's not their fault as such, I'd be a bit more inclined to want to pay a bit more taxes for social-welfare programs to help the poor. Especially when the economy is at recession or depression levels. In the Great Depression I'm aware that many smart, hard-working, educated family men could not find a decent job. I'm glad we stepped up to help them at least to the degree that we did.

Just like we don't understand Bigfoot and Nessie.
    See how that works?

In other words the Bible got it wrong - can we agree on that?
If it got THAT simple thing wrong, then can we agree that it likely got some of the bigger and more complex stuff wrong (like that story of the magic invisible zombie that will magically give you eternal life, etc.)

".....women should remain silent in the churches [shut up bitches!]. They are not allowed to speak [oh thank god, finally, silence!], but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home [because men are smarter than chicks!!!]; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church” - First Corinthians 14:33–35

We COULD if he chose to educate us on a regular basis, come down and educate us every month or so, say. But he's not real, or not caring, so he doesn't do that - so he's not worth my worship. I expect MORE from an all-loving, all-caring, all-knowing, all-powerful, all-everything creator of the entire frickin' universe.

I do admire how Christians have grown over the years, in ways outside the Bible, like I assume that you have in your life.

It does use the word, I think, "beasts" (or "leviathan", I can't remember) or something, in the Bible....MAYBE that could accurately refer to what we call "dinosaurs", I don't know - but I'm always a bit skeptical.

Might have just been a left-over dinosaur, hehe. Seriously though, some think it could be a Pleasasaurus (sp?), or something.

You have every right to think that if you choose. If I am right and God does exist then I will have a good place to go when I die. If I am wrong though then nothing happens and I will be dead so I wouldn't know either.

Pascal's Wager. The problem with that is that what if god is a caring/loving person, and you APPROVE OF A BOOK THAT SAYS TO KILL GAYS AND APPROVES OF SLAVERY, ETC., ETC......a caring/loving god would think that you let your fear of death overcome your morality! Me, on the other hand, I'd be given great treatment in the afterlife because I let go of my personal fear of "hell" to REJECT A BOOK THAT SAYS TO KILL GAYS AND APPROVES OF SLAVERY, ETC., ETC. See, what if the Bible is a TEST, and by being willing to accept and defend IMMORALITY (killing gays, etc.), you risk a bad afterlife. Me, on the other hand, I stand up AGAINST the immorality in the bible - I pass the test, and you unfortunately don't....assuming that god is caring/loving, that is.

"You believed in a book that said TO KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE", god will say to you as he meets you at your death, and you will have NO good excuse except that you were selfish and wanted to get to heaven. And you were ok with a book that sent all, say, Buddhists to eternal torture!!!????? "You're a monster!", god will say to you. But me, I reject that, so I'm going to be doing a-ok - because I'm more moral than that.

But in the mean time a religious person has to prostitute their brain by believing in a nonsense book that has a talking snake, a talking donkey, a talking burning bush, a talking invisible 2000 year-old zombie from Nazareth, etc. I couldn't STAND feeling like a fool, so I left the bible/Jesus years ago. My brain is too important to me.

    Can we also ban Atheism?

many Atheists seems to hold a very obssessive hatred towards all religion and all religious people, and this seems to be very counter-intuitive towards a civil and just society

We the People through the government OF the People and FOR the People can decide to abide by the goals and principles of the Constitution in order to take care of the General Welfare of We the People.

If you don't want to participate there are other options available elsewhere.

But evolution is mankind learning how to take care of ourselves.

Without evolution we wouldn't have learned about DNA and how it works.
