You are correct. Maybe he could have shut this idiot up more eloquently while still building up the folks there helping.
Ill bet there's contingencies for those issues in most cities that size. I'll bet, they could probably solve that issue.
Problems that are not trumps fault The mayor appears to be better at making excuses than solving problems
Why does trump have to sweet talk a socialist mayor in San juan or sugarcoat lies about himself? If he did it the Brit way the media would have no interesting quotes except the lies of the socialist mayor against trump but no rebuttal from him
The PR's have to take some responsiblity for themselves Trump is getting supplies to the island but the locals have their thumbs up their asses
It's not a choice because the idea that the mayor of San Juan has no idea is ridiculous. That is the stance you are taking.
Because they are in the middle of a natural disaster and emotions are running extremely high? Oh no, can't be that. If Trump had put out the statement I suggested, it would have been universally reported. That statement is a rebuttal, but one which keeps in mind the position of the islanders.
You don't know the liberal media in the US They would have ignored trumps demure coddlng of the mayor and just keep repeating her quote instead
Not no idea. But if things are still really bad over a week after the hurricane, I'm not surprised there was a lot of frustration and questioning of the relief effort. Using logic to prove someone a liar the way you do shows you know the answer you want to arrive at. If you were open minded, you wouldn't come to such a definite conclusion, because the evidence isn't there to justify it.
The Brit way lol. 'Something close to genocide': San Juan mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz begs for more Puerto Rico relief https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...r-calling-puerto-rico-relief-effort-good-news 'Close to genocide': San Juan mayor's dire appeal to US for Puerto Rico relief http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...eg-carmen-yulin-cruz-aid-relief-a7975021.html San Juan mayor: 'Genocide' situation could erupt if Puerto Ricans don't get food and water http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/s...icans-dont-get-food-and-water/article/2636145
Actually, I know the US media pretty well. You seriously think a presidential statement on the relief effort would be ignored? I find that incredible.
The kind of statement you want would get a big liberal media yawn and be buried compared to the genocide quote from the mayor
All of which deserved a response. You can't use the word genocide here. There are divisions. The word has meaning. It wasn't a mistake.
Comparatively, yes. 'Genocide' is much shinier. But it wouldn't be ignored, and it would show a president in control of himself and caring about PR.
