How did the Las Vegas shooter vote?

I never claimed he was voting for gun rights when he pulled the trigger. I'm not sure I remember anyone else claiming that either.

We don't know how he voted. And we still don't know why he did what he did on Sunday night in Las Vegas.

Man, posting on these boards is tiring. It's always attack, attack, and attack some more. And people always seem to be more sneaky than straight-forward.

Hannity and Rush are very polite in their wording - rather extremely so. But when you can show a video of a guy named Grubber telling his audience that Obamacare would have to be lied about to get passed and Democrats want to pass laws making it legal for men to share a washroom with your ten year old daughter and Nancy Pelosi can't be bothered to read Obamacare before she votes for it, you just have to forgive Hannity and Rush for finding something to talk about.

I don't care what Hannity and Rush talk about. They are political talking heads, and their shows are not intended to be news reports. Just like Rachel Maddow's and Lawrence O'Donnell's shows are opinion shows and aren't intended to be news reports. That's what those people all do.

 

He (the shooter) voted for the bump stock ban, so lets do it, but none of us know what that psycho was thinking, or whether he converted to Islam or not...or whether he was morally converted by the "liberal" democrat who said Osama was "playing by the rules of warfare."

1984? I don't remember his speech, but I remember that convention. It was probably the high moment during the convention. That was the year that Walter Mondale got the nomination and was slaughtered by Reagan. Reagan's popularity was really high in 1984 if I remember right.

 

Okay, let's get something straight right now. My wife has been involved in genealogy research for decades and has spent hundreds or thousands of hours on her computer as a volunteer transcribing written birth and immigration records to digital form. She has seen hundreds of birth certificates from Hawaii. She got a brief look at Obama's birth certificate before it was pulled from the internet. She says it was not correct for the era. The question of where Obama was born is not settled. Trump may be correct. At least he got Obama to show something and an expert - my wife - says something looked wrong. Sort of like that faked Bush AWOL letter with an incorrect font on it.

 

I wasn't alive in 1984 to remember it. I watch great speeches on youtube LOL.

Well, I suppose I'm going to have to apologize here. It's the way I write. I always wanted to write science fiction stories, so when I retired, I started doing just that and have several for Kindle now on Amazon. Whenever I talk to anyone about them, I have to point out that I do not write for dummies. I do not do fantasy, zombies, or vampires. I write hard, technical stuff that requires some scientific knowledge. When I write here, I assume that everyone is up to speed. Sorry if I'm wrong.

 

Gruber was one of the important formulators of Obamacare policy as I understand it, but you dismiss him? Perspective, I guess.

I think I need to apologise as well. I am sorry if I came off as aggressive or attacking.

I am not perfect, and I will admit that I can be a hypocrite at times. I always do my best to be straight forward with my posts. I don't have an agenda. I am just here to share my opinions on political topics and debate them with others.

I can also admit that I am not always up to speed with every nuance of every political topic.

Thing is, I do not completely eschew feelings as part on my political beliefs, as many Conservatives advocate on this board.

Feelings are a part of what we are as human beings, and for anyone to say we should totally disregard it in our political beliefs is illogical, IMO. Of course, logic is, and should, play a role as well.

As far as this shooter goes, weather he was liberal or conservative does not really matter to me. I wish we could have found out WHY he did it, but only because we need to try to find a way to reduce the chance it happens again.

Well put. I don't dismiss the idea that he may have been a Republican or just not Liberal, but the current trend of Left-wing violence egged on by Hollywood and entertainers makes me ask whether he had a political axe to grind.

One other point, I am a pilot, and when I heard that this guy owned two airplanes, I wondered why he chose this method to go out with a bang. Even a single engine light plane can be loaded up with enough fuel and explosives to have killed a thousand of those twenty thousand, tightly packed people. Strange as it may seem, those people may have lucked out with his particular line of thinking.

 

It certainly looks weird. On the surface, the guy seems to have had a lot going for him, and I cannot figure out why he did it.

As far as liberal media attacks on Trump, I can admit that I think it's excessive. However, I don't really listen to the media for my opinions, so I don't take their attacks that seriously. And yes, I didn't really take Conservatives attacks on Obama that seriously. Of course the political party that opposes the winner is going to attack. That is why you shouldn't take their attacks that seriously, IMO.

Well, the media is part of the egging-on process. It is the hunting of Republicans, Griffen and her severed head, and Lefties lining up at Trump events and attacking people as they leave that has risen above my level of tolerance for bad behavior.

 

Okay, but not all Liberals agree with those actions. So why attack ALL liberals?

It makes the poster appear petty and vindictive. It doesn't help the conservative message.
