he gave a temporary carrot to the middle class, one he plans to reuse when they expire to get more goodies for the rich

notice the tax cuts for the corps were not temporary

As "temporary carrots" go... a decade is pretty decent. Senate rules required a sunset without democrat support... and of course the democrats shot themselves in the foot on all this.

Nobody is going to let them expire at the end of that decade btw.

so why no sunset on the corporate tax cuts.... make them both temporary, in order to force repubs to extend them if they want to keep the corp tax cuts

I have marked your post, if republicans hold middle class tax cuts hostage will re-post it, you can do the same of mine if they just re-extend it no demands in return

my guess is when the time comes, republicans will scream... how you gonna pay for them....

I think Obama was a lousy POTUS - so why would I say him?

You made the statement, it is up to you to prove it, not me to disprove it.

    I will ask again,

You said 'Despite facing more opposition than any president in American history, Trump has...'

    Prove it, please?

So far, you have produced ZERO evidence/proof of your matter-of-fact statement.

LOL...I am a HUGE fan of free enterprise, small government, low taxes, minimal regulation.

But I would LOVE to hear how you think that the 'Great Recession' was the fault of the Dems considering it started after a Rep had been in office for almost 8 years straight.
AND the Federal Reserve actions (VERY low interest rates) were supported by the POTUS AND all the housing stimulation Bills put forth by GWB were enthusiastically endorsed by almost every Rep in both houses.
    https://www.congress.gov/bill/108th-congress/senate-bill/811/actions

But do tell...how EXACTLY did the Democrats primarily cause the Great Recession?

Because of the Byrd rule. Anything that adds to the deficit cannot be made permanent without 60 votes, and as the democrats do nothing but #resist... they have to be sunset. The corporate tax rate is more revenue neutral because it works on the laffer curve. Republicans dont want it to expire but... what can we do?

so your saying the huge corporate tax cuts did not add to the deficit, but some how the smaller middle class tax cuts do?

they could write a bill that was good enough to get 60 votes, just pass a middle class tax cuts without all the other junk attached, 60 votes easy, then they could jam through the stuff no one wants

    Let me see

He has made SNL a must see again.
He has spawned parodies and jokes too numerous to mention
He has golfed more than any president in history
He has given us a almost weekly firing to have fun with
    Almost daily gaffs
Christmas decorations opened dark portal to hell.
We have seen a rise in racism
We have seen a huge backlash on sexism
He has made Twitter fighting a global problem.
    He has trolled America
He has made Bush Jr. Look dignified
He is destroying America so non WASPs can't have its greatness.

He is doing pretty much what he was elected to do. If white people are no longer going to run America trump is going to **** it up for everyone else. It is pretty obvious at this point.

The party of no would never vote for any Trump success before 2018.

if it was a middle class tax cut only with no supersized tax cut for the rich sure they would
could pass it next month still to keep them permanent, but they wont

I would forego the middle class tax cut for just the corporate tax rate reduced to 15%. The left appears to want to keep chasing companies out of this country.

Yes. That is what the CBO says, and why that report matters. Their effective tax rate + growth = rev neutral.

There is no evidence that democrats would have done anything to give Trump a legislative win. What is this "stuff nobody wants" you speak of? The individual mandate? Wildly ****ing unpopular.

Given Trump's current 37% approval, the nation's desire to recover from his undoing the progress achieved by his predecessor who completed two terms with 58% approval would appear to be a not unrealistic goal.

So report it but don't hide behind your interpretation of rules. How cowardly is that?

Is that a Christmas joke? The Republican Congress could put forth a bill that gives only Democrats a 4 year term in Congress and they couldn't get 60 votes as long as Trump is president.

In their relentlessly half-arsed cherry-picking of Clinton's quantitatively-indefensible statement, hardcore trumpies expose that their hyper-partisanship trumps the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Clinton erred in that trump's neo-nazis, ku klux klan, and other white supremacists who venerate him as their "Glorious Leader!" do not constitute anywhere near 50% of his followers. The trump supporters she went on to describe were clearly the preponderance:

"But the other basket -- and I know this because I see friends from all over America here -- I see friends from Florida and Georgia and South Carolina and Texas -- as well as, you know, New York and California -- but that other basket of people are people who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they're just desperate for change. It doesn't really even matter where it comes from. They don't buy everything he says, but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different. They won't wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroin, feel like they're in a dead-end. Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well."
It is that much larger basket that perceived the Democratic Party as having abandoned it. It is that basket that must be won back.

The much smaller basket of neo-nazis, ku klux klan and other white supremacists can stay where they are.

The # 1 on the list has to be "Trump has nominated 73 federal judges and won his nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. Not only does this affect the courts now but will affect the courts for a generation. No leftist Congress can change that.

Enough already with the race-baiting. Trump has been systematically eliminating Obama's so-called "achievements" which were bad for the country. Obama's failure as a president had nothing to do with race, and Trump's attempts to fix it have nothing to do with race either.

I expect we are going to spend the next 10 years explaining this and repeating it and explaining this and repeating it.....

Nah, the coming bust of the boom will likely explain it.
    For it's been done before.
