Because it's imperative that you understand the Earth's patterns of warming and cooling. Going by weather that only traces back as far as the mid 1800's isn't sufficient. I'm skeptical about carbon dating and all of that stuff since we can't determine if our readings are accurate or not, but knowing that there is lush vegetation, albeit frozen, below the ice of Antarctica is more than enough to prove that warming is nothing outside of 100% natural. If humans have anything to do with it, the scale is so small it's immeasurable.

That's a reach in your opinion, but you don't think it's a reach to think that man is responsible for a climate that has naturally changed just like this over and over for a span of 4 billion years?

Why is the entire climate history of this planet relevant to the climate patterns of this planet? Are you serious guy?

My 12 year old was telling me the other day how he learned that we've only discovered something like 35% of the species on Earth... 35%? How do they know it's only 35% unless they already know all the species they're going to find?

Almost as racist as Reading... How long before New York removes the knowledge level of math from the applications to be a teacher person at those schools up there?

You want me to review 330+ posts to find your 5 sources and then google search my way to the other 12? FFS man.

You and I both know that you didn't just study the research material so closely and count the number of papers that predict a global cooling (not without also counting the number of papers that would predict global warming), so just go ahead and post the blog were you got the 17 claim.

Solar activity ain't increasing enough to explain the warming.

Not even sure what you mean by cosmic particulate interactions...are you suggesting cosmic rays or a related cosmic effect that could be causing the global warming?

My insistence is on a most likely cause, one that is the easiest and most direct (occam's razor), and one that is supported by the overwhelming weight of the scientific evidence.

Yes, I am serious. No one is claiming that climate change will kill the Planet, only that it will drastically harm the currently living plants and animals, including humans.

Humans and most of the currently living plants and animals evolved in a specific type of climate. We did not evolve on a molten rock or a planet devoid of oxygen, so there goes about 2 billion years worth of the Earth's climatic history right there. So why care about the entire history of the planet's climate in order to discuss climate change? Are you really just trying to search for other potential causes to the current climate change?

Orbital mechanics, volcanic eruptions, meteor strikes, solar activity, and the influence of green house gases are the five most likely culprits. The data supports only one of those causes for the current rate of climate change.

    Look at a map.

Any GISS NOAA and CRU temperature map makes quite clear the importance of the western Antarctic peninsula.

    ^ This.

The solar theory is simple, but it doesn't work. Solar activity and irradiance have been declining for 60 years and yet the Earth is still warming.

The galactic cosmic ray theory is good though more complicated. But, it too doesn't work. Research actually shows the GCRs aren't all that effective at seeding clouds. But, if you disagree then the theory actually says we should be cooling right now...and...we aren't so...

That really only leaves a few good alternatives. Hey, CO2 is known to be a greenhouse gas. And hey, the concentration increase is directly tied to fossil fuel burning. Physical theory predicts it. Computer simulations support that prediction. The Earth is, in fact, warming. Maybe...just maybe...experts are right.

    .???

Antartica is influencing weather in North America?

Meanwhile while America freezes Australia has a heat wave so intense bitumen is melting

Take a lot if water. Put it on a stove. Turn the burner to HI. The pot warms. Wait 3 minutes. Turn the burner down to 6. The pot keeps warming.

How is it possible that the pot continues to warm even after the energy conning from the burner goes down?

Rising temperatures in no way confirm AGW or any attribution to CO2. It is quite that simple.

Ha ha ha. The pot keeps not warming. Once energy supply is cut, it starts cooling down. Your rubbish would break thermo dynamic law

Please do this experiment yourself and tell me the pot starts to cool.

Where comes the energy from so it keeps warming?

Something that's always baffled me is that extremely hot water freezes faster than room temperature water. I've tested this. Weird.
