Joe explains why we believe in conspiracy theories. Which ones do you believe? Or are you too smart for that?
Some of them are so clear that they can be considered facts such as the fake moon landings and 9/11's being an inside job. http://www.politicalforum.com/index...andings-ever-happened.512081/#post-1067871432 http://www.politicalforum.com/index...orted-9-11-terrorists.456423/#post-1066183060 Some are still just theories. Here are some more. http://well-temperedforum.groupee.net/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9130004433/m/6371082656/p/1 Most conspiracy theorists have neither an a priori incredulity, nor a naive willingness to believe. They use the scientific method and rarely come to erroneous conclusions. Most anti-conspiracy theorists have a naive willingness to believe when they hear official stuff and an a priori incredulity when they hear alternative stuff. They use faulty logic because they have foregone conclusions. They usually come to erroneous conclusions. Here's some stuff on the subject. http://www.globalresearch.ca/weapon...ory-disinformation-agents-and-the-cia/5524552 http://northerntruthseeker.blogspot.com.es/2012/03/radical-rethinking-of-conspiracy.html https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2016/08/31/are-you-a-mind-controlled-cia-stooge-paul-craig-roberts/ http://www.tomatobubble.com/id196.html Psychologists Say: ‘Conspiracy Theorists’ SANE, and Government Dupes CRAZY and Hostile. Linking to your old debunked posts about the lunar landing and 911 is not evidence. The lunar landings were real which is hard fact you cannot challenge with evidence. Your every attempt to do so has failed. The same is true for 911. People such as yourself cling to such debunked and disproven ideas because you simply lack the maturity to admit when you are wrong even though you know you have been proven wrong.
People believe in conspiracy theories because the factual world is boring and depressing. People want to believe that there's more to life and reality and the status quo than it seems. They also get a big ol hard on at the idea that they are in the know about something while most other "sheeple" aren't.
One reason why we believe in conspiracy theories is that sometimes, they turn out to be true. The illegal spying of the NSA, for instance. Operation Northwoods. MKUltra. And when we find out that our government commits these crimes against the people, and no one is ever held to account, of course it arouses suspicions that even more such crimes are being committed. And really, what rational reason is there for believing otherwise?
Operations Northwoods was merely a proposal so not a crime. MKultra was an idiot idea which failed much like remote viewing. Not sure what crime you claim was committed there. I have no doubt the NSA can and might have done some illegal spying but perhaps you could give specifics.
True, but it was a conspiracy, and only stopped because the president wouldn't go along with it. Drugging unwitting US citizens with LSD. You've heard of Edward Snowden, right?
Not really. If there are conspiracies, there are conspiracy theories. And any fool knows there are conspiracies, that's a historical fact. There are tens of thousands of people who are trained about and earn a living from conspiracy theories, specifically the intelligence, enforcement and legal industries. There are many laws that deal with conspiracies. Whether one wants to "believe" in conspiracy theories or not is irrelevant, they are a fact of life and many theories eventually become fact, conspiracy theories are not an exception. Those who mock and/or denigrate conspiracy theorists are either ignorant or have an agenda, it makes no sense to any intelligent person. True there are silly and nonsensical conspiracy theories (for example, the official 9/11 conspiracy theory) but that doesn't mean they are all silly. Governments throughout history have ALL conspired against the citizens of their nation, there are no exceptions. The Declaration of Independence was not invented from thin air. As such any conspiracy theory about any government on the planet is fully justified thinking. Denial of every single government conspiracy theory is ignorance or cognitive dissonance or a government agenda.
The CIA coined that term in order to try to keep people from finding out the conspiracies. On their behalf and on behalf of corrupt, treasonous bastards in the WH and Congress. Our own gov't has proved to the people that actually pay attention, that it cannot be trusted. This has helped to fuel conspiracy theories. And some of those theories may a hundred years from now, turn out to be right The best way to minimize CTs, is to have a gov't which proves it can be trusted. Good luck with that.
The ultimate in hypocrisy and irony. An intelligence agency that exists because of conspiracies and conspiracy theories weaponized the term and the rabid apologists/defenders use it liberally as some kind of slur.
They must have seen the need to preempt with denial by weaponizing that word. lol They know it is their business to conduct conspiracies, and they want to do it secretly, and the figured the herd would be too stupid to catch on, and of course, much of the herd is too stupid to catch on. Right down the rabbit hole, as we venture into Alice in Wonderland.
That isn't what I have read. You of course can try to debunk it, since your are not a respectable skeptic but a dastardly debunker. For to you, in your naive state of mind, you think there has never been one single conspiracy. Even the coup against FDR busted out by Gen. Butler, my money says, you will say, it never happened. So on the one side of the extreme, you have the true tin foil hat boys who see every notable event as some conspiracy, while you in the other extreme, deny all conspiracies. I think you share much with the other extreme. But some of us of course know conspiracies have existed and there will be new ones, for we understand the deeds done in the chase of power, money, have happened since the dawn of civilization.
Actually I stated quite clearly conspiracies happen all the time. It is conspiracy THEORY which is a different issue.
So, did the CIA running drugs into america to finance what congress would not finance, a conspiracy, or tin foil hat territory. Just curious. What about the planned operation of the CIA to blow up a drone, an commercial aircraft, or so we would be told, and blame in on Castro in order to get a justification for removing him? Just curious, so I can see what you really are. Which so far, IMO, not a skeptic but a debunker. Skeptics tend to keep an open mind...and this does not appear to be in your nature. Am I wrong?
Mostly due to boredom. Though sometimes it's a result of being unable to cope with the terrible reality of a senseless crime.
The Florida school shooter was well known to the local cops. They had 39 calls on him. A busy-body ratted him out to the FBI. The FBI ran an analysis profile on the guy and determined that he would become a school shooter. So the FBI did nothing. Why? The FBI has a conspiracy going against Trump so this was an opportunity to put Trump on the spot. Naturally Trump didn't disappoint and came across looking like an idiot. The other point is that since the guy did carry out the shooting it sets the stage for the cop thugs to pursue their agenda of turning the country into a police state. So today groups of students and teachers and others are being presented as teary-eyed victims in order to create the grass-root movement to popularize the idea of more restrictive gun control measures. The intent is to ultimately eliminate gun ownership in the country. The agenda has been set and now the shooting events will increase in frequency until the average person will gladly turn in his weapons. Soon States that have the right to bear arms in their State constitutions will delete it. That will set the stage to eliminate the Second Amendment from the Federal Constitution.
I don't know about other state constitutions but that wouldn't be possible in Pennsylvania because of these clauses. Article I Section 21. The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned. Article I Section 25. To guard against the transgressions of the high powers which we have delegated, we declare that everything in this article is excepted out of the general powers of government and shall forever remain inviolate.
Have you seen the stuff about the multiple shooters? Possibility of another shooter or more in Parkland, Florida Parkland High School Shooting urgent information (2:40 time mark) BREAKING: PARKLAND FLORIDA SHOOTING NARRATIVE BEGINS TO BREAK DOWN AS NEW WITNESSES EMERGE This is really strange because the two girls who say there were multiple shooters don't seem traumatized at all. Does anyone have any ideas on why that would be?
http://www.politicalforum.com/index...n-conspiracy-theories.524027/#post-1068731412 The article in post #20 looks like classic government damage-control to me. The writer has an attitude but offers nothing substantial. Hey Space_time... What do you think of what this guy says about the Las Vegas shooting? Forensic acoustic proof of SECOND shooter in the Las Vegas massacre
It's very convenient to label all 'conspiracy theory' as nonsense paranoia. Then all you have to do is label any interpretation of an event which deviates from 'official' interpretations as conspiracy theory. What an easy and effective tool for a propagandist wield. Since the whole post modern thing happened you might ask 'why do we believe in anything?' And the answer to that should be, because given the reason and evidence at our disposal it appears to be the closest approximation to the truth. Other than that let's just say this as a truism. The government and the media lie... therefore some conspiracy must be true.
The big banking sector plot to assassinate President Lincoln and later President Kennedy sounds logical for many reasons? https://www.michaeljournal.org/articles/politics/item/abraham-lincoln-and-john-f-kennedy An impressive answer indeed...... I would like to attempt to take the big banking sector conspiracy theory just mentioned and apply it to the situation faced by the USA in the present: http://www.politicalforum.com/index...weimar-republic-inflation-i-ever-read.502018/ Best explanation for Weimar Republic Inflation I ever read....
There is always stuff going on which we never learn about. ALWAYS. We know that. But there's a world of difference between knowing that, and believing that badly faked 'footprints' found in ridiculously unlikely places mean that Dogman exists. You'll note the very distinct differences also, between those who understand the former, and those who believe the latter. A full set of teeth and education beyond the 8th grade being two of those differences.
