I think you have hit upon a key element that needs the source documents or the warrant itself to solve.... where did the word "essential" come from?? If you take that out, it's really no big deal.... If it was truly essential, with limited other probable cause, then you might have some sort of case...

The Steele dossier formed an essential part of the initial and all three renewal FISA applications against Carter Page.

 

The only reason Trump pushed so hard for the memo to get out was that it would create enough public buzz and cover for him to fire Rosenstein then Mueller and end his investigation. Honestly it is the WHs last play as the noose tightens on this corrupt administration.

Nunes hand picked this part of the memo because it does not talk about how other factors besides the dossier were used. That would of course ruin his biased political narrative.

Now the MSM are taking this exactly how Nunes and the Republicans wanted. Cherry picked facts distorting the truth.

 

So Nunes wrote this all by himself? Trey Gowdy read the classified info and did not dispute the memo. So how many in this conspiracy? All of the GOP while the democrats on that committee are telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth. So, when have dems ever did that? A reality check is in order. Who can really be trusted in congress? I see little reason to trust either side.

I think the truth is, there is much truth to the memo. But that is only my opinion. I could be wrong. And one would have to see what it is based on, which we will never see more than likely. But perhaps the DOJ will get to the bottom of it? But then the dems would not accept it, if it didn't go in their favor. So, what to do?

I have watched Gowdy many times, and I think he is probably one of a few with integrity in DC, which is why he is probably leaving. lol Can't stand to be around the crooks.

 

They had nothing, that's the whole point of this.

Warrants were obtained and renewed based on a faked dossier that people in the process knew was fake.

 

As there's nothing democratic about the Democrat Party (see: DNC and current scandal), Democrats will just have to put up with the more accurate colloquialism.

Back around 2013, Page, who was known to be meeting frequently with Russian operatives, was warned that he was likely targeted to be flipped as a Russian agent. But he continued with his Russian contacts. This was one reason for the surveillance.

If a guy is frequently meeting with Russian operatives when already under suspicion, you stop the surveillance? Okie dokey

 

Not the memo. The FBI info, some classified, which the memo is based on. A big difference. Only by seeing that could you then judge as you have judged.

 

And as I replied earlier, McCabe's testimony that the warrant would not have been sought is enough justification to claim that the dossier was an essential part of the application; however, it does not mean that the dossier was used as part of the application.

 

So Nunes, aka Man Who Talks to White House Lawn Statues makes an accusation against the FBI claiming that the FBI improperly obtained a warrant but he cannot proove that because the background of the warrant is classified.

That would be you being accused of murder or rape but you defense attorneys are not allowed to see the facts behind the warrant fir your arrest because it is sealed from all except the prosecutor.

That is a nice gotcha.

Hillary and the DNC to cover up the money trail paid a law firm to pay Steel (a foreign agent) who paid Russian government agents (also foreigners) for crap on Donald Trump like Russian prostitutes peeing on a bed that Obama once slept in.

Come on now. I could see peeing on a bed that Obama would be sleeping in. That was the first red flag that the dossier was fake.

It seems to me it was Hillary and the DNC who were in collusion with the Russians through Steel.

 

Once again, the hack memo focuses on the dossier, and nothing but the dossier. It is a pathetic attempt to imply the warrant was a poison tree from which all fruit is tainted.

Mueller must be getting close to something which has Trump panicked.

The memo is a very deliberate lie of omission.

 

Best part is this is just the beginning. the dominos will really begin to fall when the lawsuits start.

 

That is a fact it was unless you want to get McCabe on lying to the Congress.

Nunes likely didn't write word one of it... MSNBC has mentioned somebody named Cash Somethingorother, one of the staffers, probably Gowdy's.... It's only the Nunes memo cause he's the chair of the committee...

You appear to be under the influence that repeating the same line from the memo or repeating my statements back to me is a sufficient rebuttal to my point. It is not.

 

The Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation misrepresented facts in its submissions to The United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

To rephrase, the Executive Branch lied under oath to the Judicial Branch in an unconscionable scheme to deny a U.S. Citizen protections and rights afforded by the Constitution of the United States.

This is no small thing.
