McCarthy was the anti-communist whistle blower. I will concede the point that he may have gotten a little carried away and exposed some "useful idiots" who by definition were not hard core commies but that is collateral damage.
However, our findings indicate that, as described below, material and relevant information was omitted." Findins!!!! give me a break there were no finding the entire memo is nothing but a hit job on the FBI and an attempt to derail the investigation.
I checked it out, this is a great source! You are very right in noting the articles are substantiated with verifiable links that support the writings. This is exactly the type of reporting I want, I like to see statements of fact substantiated. I can determine on my own how credible the substantiating source is and I like to get an idea of what informs the article and motivates the author.
She's "yesterday." Republicans should be smart enough to pick useful targets. Most Americans have rightly written her off and stopped thinking about her.
Nunes' "findings" were basically four (detailed in the document): 1. That in the application for the Page surveillance warrant FISA wasn't told Hillary and the DNC paid for the dossier submitted in support. 2. That evidence cited in support for the renewal of the warrant was an article drafted based on evidence provided by the dossier's author. 3. That the dossier's author expressed a strong animus against Trump. 4. That the dossier's contents were not adequately corroborated.
I'm glad you feel that way. I particularly like the part in the interview where he says the FISA warrant would not have been authorized without the dossier. P.S. He also referred to the Nunes memo as his (Gowdy's) memo Full transcript of that interview is here: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/transcript-rep-trey-gowdy-on-face-the-nation-feb-4-2018/
Democrats didn't "leak" that Mueller is threatened. They flat out raised an alarm, rightly or wrongly. They wouldn't be in a position to raise the question if Trump made it absolutely clear he didn't think the FISA application reflected on the investigation. Trump is stirring the pot, too.
The point is a Professor from Malta bragged to someone he knew the Russians had some kind of dirt on Clinton, DUH, and that someone in a drunken stupor bragged to an Australian he had been told that and that was used to begin surveillance on the Trump campaign and accusations of collusion with Russians. The point is the Democrats and Clinton campaign colluded with a foreign national to ACTUALLY pay for and OBTAIN made up dirt on Trump and then through their co-conspirators at the FBI and DOJ presented it as factual corroborated verified evidence to obtain a warrant to be able to spy on the Trump campaign to try and win the election and when that failed tried to use it to undermine his election and engage in a political coup.
Sure, well, glad you got it all resolved. Now the nation can move onto other pressing matters like our next war.
FISA process was sloppy? The most secret court that oversees the US government's legal surveillance requests, who's judges wield great power working in secret is SLOPPY? Perhaps... perhaps not. Perhaps, the judges of FISA were given faulty, incomplete or outright falsified information on which they granted the request for surveillance?
You live in a dream world if you think Trump is a honest guy returning government to "Constitutional Control."
Yes. I hope this is a model others follow. Both sides. Conservative Tree House doesn't just link articles it spends the time and links the originating source information. That being court documents, transcripts, video the works. I don't know why MSM doesn't do the same. Frankly anyone that doesn't isn't being honest?
