Sloppy isn't a mitigating argument for fourth amendment violations. One either follows the law or does not. Here, FISC followed the law as written. The FBI mislead the court. That ability suggests that the law is much to broad. Its authority needs to be narrowed and those that misdirect the court through fraud need to be individually punished, stripped of any immunity.
Yes, it's sloppy because it is like a lot of the justice system, it hasn't been challenged to be better. Do you want high-powered lawyers putting every warrant under a legal microscope? Should we have lawyers in every traffic court case? Every small claims collection? How about every FISA warrant? How about all the poor sap drug users in jail for possession? Judges deprive thousands of them every day of their liberty in your party's absolutely insane "war on drugs" and you don't seem to give a damn. Rather selective in your concern, I'd say. The system grinds on, doesn't? Maybe we could make things better if stopped looking the other way unless our ox is being gored. President Bone Spurs feels his own pain accutely while using the Dreamers as pawns to get his border wall.
They had reason to look at Page. A tighter process would have resulted in them coming up with a better application.
I just find it interesting how the left is demonizing Nunes because of the memo but love Trey Gowdy because he said that the memo doesn't affect Muelle'rs ongoing investigation. In doing so they are ignoring the fact that Nunes didn't write the memo, that Trey Gowdy played a large part in the drafting of the memo and in his interview on Face the Nation today, Gowdy referred to the memo as his (Gowdy's) memo. They are also ignoring the fact that the House committee stated that the memo was not meant to interfere with Mueller but was meant to focus on FISA errors.
I am focused like a laser on the red comments. I am unclear how you link drugs to FISA so will you explain? By giving a damn do you mean the opioids? Based on human freedom, by me, I believe if you wish to harm yourself, it is your business. But as you well know, due to the extreme cost of drugs, it also can do great damage to the family unit for mom and dad to waste so much on drugs or pay the costs of rehab for their kids. Drugs being controlled only means the control is there due to damages done by excessive drugs. Ever notice how your doctor might give you a prescription for a few days but not for 90 days? I get my prescriptions filled for 90 days. My drugs are safe for me to use, but might upset your system. But mine work to assist my body as to Diabetes 2 and also tweak my system for my arteries.
In your opinion. The fact is they didn't bother with a tighter process (if one even existed). Thus the warrant is tainted and exposes results to "the fruit of the poisoned tree" argument.
Are we still hunting the Salem Witches? What is wrong with speaking to citizens of Russia? Page is not yet charged with any crime. Are you really unhappy?
Exactly, where is the money going? Cut the federal bureaucracy in half. Perhaps then folks could afford council.
They have not shown a valid reason to spy on Page and everone he was in contact with - foreign or domestic I think obama wanted info on trump and abused FISA to get it
FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe testified that “no surveillance warrant would have been sought” from the FISA court “without the Steele dossier information.” So, are you saying McCabe lied under oath?
You've got it Robert. Addiction sucks but is easily recovered from. The financial disaster that feeding an addiction that has a street cost of hundreds a day is not recoverable. Decades of family savings and equity evaporate. That's the real harm. Opiates, for those with the highest tolerance, have a real cost of about a dollar a day. Addiction can be cured, conviction taints for life and financial ruin kills the family.
Let's say that you robbed a bank. The head of the DNC was a customer there and recorded you on her committee cell phone. So your defense is that you were filmed by a Democratic member so that evidence should be thrown out. If you have a trial by judge the judge will has Theonly ones fired were fired because they did their jobs rights and are getting to close to Trump. Caomey was fired because he would not yield to trump's pressure to stop investigating Flynn.
In Watergate, the press investigate government corruption. In NunesMemogate, the press laughs about it, cheers even.
Let's be clear... the memo is NOT a summation of the dossier. If I recall correctly the memo consist of three opinionated points only. 1. The Democrats funded the research 2. Steel didn't vote for Trump nor did he like him after everything he learned during his investigation 3. The FBI used the dossier as basis for spying on Carter Page ^^^^ is not a summation of the dossier which includes outlining Trump's relationship with organised crime.
Better yet lets say you were a bernie sanders supporter at the DNC and you downloaded emails showing how hillary was stealing the nomination And you were murdered for giving the emails to Wikkileaks
The memo says that Nunes and much of the GOP now view Carter Page as an innocent victim, even though he admits to being a traitor.
