Ok yes of course the .32 can be deadly after all it a 7.65 mm and that nominal caliber was popular in Europe. A .22 is deadly at an optimal range and hitting a target in a vital part of the body.

Hey when I was young people and even some gun advertisement referred to semi automatic pistols as " automatics" . Google it and you will find an example of an ad that I found.

You are correct that the AR type rifles are becoming a popular deer hunting rifle but you can get them chambered in.308 or many other calibers. Hell I have seen ads that shown AR platform rifles/ carbines in pistol calibers.

I stopped hunting some time ago ( well I do assist chipmunks in their quest to achieve suicide) but I would not feel comfortable using a .223 for deer but I can see if you are within a good range and you can place your shot (s) well it can work. Do you feel comfortable with a .223 for deer?
