A little statistic: the average person in the U.S. who still has student loan debt owes $31,800. With half of American workers earning less than that per year, it could take 15 years for them to be able to pay it off. In the meantime that's money they are not able to save towards other things.
Never co-sign for loans, ever, and try not to borrow money if your not sure you can pay it back in a timely manner.
1) If you are making 30k, you are in the wrong place or doing something wrong. Your labor is the product you are selling and if its a good product you should put a good price on it. If it isn't a good product teach yourself new skills. The internet is available to learn all sorts of things. 2) Your kids should pay for their own education. It would be good for them. You can offer them a safety net but don't do it for them.
this is not the same world we lived in when Bill Gates took his code with him when he left IBM, now the corps have fixed that loop hole and they own anything you create, once you create it, they can boot you out the door and make millions on it doesn't matter anyways, foreign outsourcing and foreign imports are destroying this country, corporate greed will win in the end - glad I grew up when I did, I fear for our childrens future
I'm not talking about being the next bill gates millionaire. I'm talking about making a decent lower/upper-middle class wage 50k-120k.
if your working full time, I do not care what your doing, your doing something right, maybe you could do better, maybe not the have's often so jealous of the have nots, some parents even jealous of their kids having it better then they had it
the corps make the laws... min wage has not increased to keep up with inflation, ect.... many of those 50k+ jobs are going overseas, India and China will control it all, India the information and China the goods
You seem to be suggesting that everyone should be able to earn an above average wage. If you can’t see the problem with that, you don’t deserve an above average wage.
anyone that works 40 hours a week should be able to support themselves or the government needs to step in and help, that is the cost of not having a living wage as the min wage why is Trump now helping a huge China corporation save their jobs? bring them back home, America first
A lot of these jobs used to be for teens and very young adults, or older people who just wanted to bring in a little extra part-time money in their retirement years, people who didn't have to support a family. But over the years we saw a lot of these lower level jobs being filled by middle-aged adults.
