All civilized societies seem to have things that are considered "within reason" or outside of reason. The biggest problem with civilized societies is finding the middle ground.
As I've stated multiple times, I support your fight for the 2nd amendment. I said it in post 23. Your passion is exactly what fuels the courts. Places like DC, Chicago, LA...all have failed gun control polices. With help like yours, you're the reason many states are easing regulations and helping Americans be adequately armed as needed.
The First Amendment is the only amendment in the BOR that contains a blanket ban on government interference. You can be ordered to present your personally owned gun for inspection at militia muster and you can be ordered to use it to defend the United States against foreign invaders. It would be unconstitutional for the federal government to order someone to attend a certain church and order them to present their personally owned Bible for inspection. So the RKBA is fundamentally different from the rights protected by the First Amendment. There is separation of church and state. There is no separation of gun ownership and state.
I absolutely support your fight for equal firearms' purchases and ownership. You've made a compelling argument for gun ownership.
Even if I was to agree with you that the Second Amendment allows that I "can be ordered to present your personally owned gun for inspection at militia muster and you can be ordered to use it to defend the United States against foreign invaders", it still does not change the second part of the Amendment. If I want to show up for "militia muster" with my "personally owned gun", that gun can be dual 50's mounted on my pickup or an AR with a bump stock. Remember: "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be in fringed"
There are websites that you can submit your arguments to. You don't just have to post your feelings on this forum. You can help make a difference and give citizens what they are entitled to.
I'll see your preschoolers with guns and raise you a crazy man with a bump stocked AR. ,,, and why are you having a discussion with that guy?
Just toy guns. Actually not in preschool as we didn't have preschool where I lived. I just had to stay home and play with my toy guns. In a home with only one parent home and a dozen unlocked firearms.
