Raise taxes. So this idea of free health care that people keep talking about is not really free?

I know that but I honestly believe some people I talk with about this Single Payer idea assume it will not cost them anything

Do you really think we can cut the military by half?

Well then they are crazy. Of course it will cost money. But it might cost less than what they are paying now

When I needed a hip in Jan 2017, from first GP visit Jan 10th to operating table by Mar 19th. If I lived in Canada I would have had to wait till November 2017 to even get the surgery, then add in recovery time of 8 weeks. I was back to work the last week of May. I doubt Medicare for all would be any better.

My biggest fear is it will cost me more and the quality of my care will go down. I really don't have a problem with trying to provide health care to all Americans I just don't want to compromise on the care I already receive. I think there are other ways to offer care to those who are currently uninsured of under-insured.

With millions of more patients and few more Doctors, how could it not go down?

There's already a system in place to provide low cost/no cost basic health care, plug in your zip code you'll be surprised how many places there are.

Has the US Govt ever tried anything and then gone back? We are still feeling the repercussions from the FDR era.

If we are going to modify things along the way why not start by trying to figure how to offer healthcare to the uninsured without having to go to Medicare For All?

They still would get the care. I work hard for the Cadillac insurance plan where I get the best care and don't have to wait. They can get a job and good insurance too.

I'm not sure but what the Grand Old Party doesn't needs to retire. Not just form the White House but all together. They can take the Democrats with them to the old folks home.

I've already said if they do that then every single person except for the folks on SSI disability must pay 10% to 15% of their income into the system in order to be covered regardless of the source of income. Why are you so hung up on universal health care?

No we will not be doing anymore regressive taxes. We have enough of that.

I like Americans. I want them healthy.

No country with universal coverage has ever gone back to private insurers.
