Iran warns that the US's cruel, inhumane and illegal treatment of them is moving towards the destructiveness of 80's when the US was trying to destroy the country supporting the Iraq war against them. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...s-of-greater-hardship-than-war-years-of-1980s We know that the United States was responsible for the death of over 500,000 children by its sanctions of Iraq. We know the United States is already responsible for the death of over 40,000 civilians in Venezuela by its sanctions since 2017. It's sanctions towards Iran are the hardest ever and must be causing hundreds of thousands of deaths. It added to its inhumanity by stopping anyone giving Iran help with the recent disastrous floods they have been experiencing. Iran are the innocent facing this attempt to end the country of Iran and destroy her people - it was the US not Iran who fell short of International Treaties. A couple of days ago for the first time I heard an American in some international position stating her fear that the World would be looking for some way to stop the dollar being the worlds reserve currency to stop its inhumanity and mass murder. I have heard other Americans saying of both the US's actions in Venezuela and in Iran and its continued denial of International law that they are embarrassed to say they are American. What way can you think of to free the world of a tyrant country which is committing mass murder by stealth and has given up living by the rule of law?
International laws are what we are talking about when we are talking about breaking laws on the International scene.
Steady Pie appears to be totally unaware of what the United States has been doing. In this post I liken Europe's collusion with the United States as similar to the UK's towards Nazi Germany in the 30's. No surprise then when I relented and tried to find him something to get him started that I find the US's position to International Law being likened to the Nazis in the 30's https://www.thenation.com/article/you-must-follow-international-law-unless-youre-america/
You said what they're doing is illegal, I've asked you to demonstrate how, and you say to get informed, which is what I'm trying to do.
US unilaterally reneged on a internationally negotiated agreement with Iran. As a member of the security council to be in violation of resolution 2231 is a very serious breach of international legal framework. Imposition of sanctions not just on Iran but on nations that trade with Iran is in direct violation of 2231.
You're mistaken in your belief that if USA and Israel cease to exist, the world will become one big happy family holding hands and singing Kumbaya. Iran will still be a shithole place and Palestinian goats will still be making short work of whatever olive trees they manage to cultivate in their dry, arid, unirrigated corner of the world. The world will be much poorer economically, socially and scientifically.
Iran's reckless and dangerous pursuit of nuclear weapons is soley responsible for any sanctions she suffers from. The US has a moral responsibility to try to stop this tyrantical and fantical hate- filled nation from getting weapons with which it can bully and intimidate its neighbors. I doubt that Alexa's claims about US caused deaths in Venezuela or Iraq can be confirmed by Independent, OBJECTIVE sources.
Arundhati Roy 'the US is by its own definition, a Rogue State' I would have to add “ wad some Power the giftie gie us To see oursels as others see us”
Iran kept the deal. The UN was in on the deal as was the UK, France and Germany as was China and Russia and the United States. When the deal was signed the US knew it was a treaty. Iran kept the deal. You did not.. Like people are saying. You are a rogue state. Madeline Allbright had no problems with killing 500,000 children. She believed it was worth it. This is common knowledge. The over 40,000 Venezuelan men women and children was by research from the US. The link is in the thread on that. All very well to think you are so good when you shut your eyes to all the atrocities you commit and by so doing will continue and worse and worse - though it is getting a bit hard for you to do worse
Why do sanctions create death? Why can't a country take care of its own people? I am pretty sure if some hypothetical superpower had imposed an embargo on the US in 1900, most consumers in the US at that time would have hardly noticed.
The most recent action that I know of where the US is showing itself not to be part of the world community and a rogue state is it's actions re the Venezuelan Embassy...but basically now it is one a minute.
The United State didn't ratify the deal, Obama did on its own which he wasn't entitled to. That's the job of congress. No country is forced to trade with another. If the Iraqi and Iranians wanted trade with the US and its allies, they have to behave.
