I am almost certain that it was 1999 when a buddy of mine gave me a book on MSM, nutritional sulphur. I gave it a try and essentially every word in the book was verified that related to my own situation. Here is the old thread that I had going on this topic if you are interested: MSM... been using it for sixteen years.... great results!
Here is a good summary of what MSM sure seemed to do for me: http://www.msm-info.com/#Cell Membrane One caution.... please drink lots of water along with MSM so that your body can get rid of the toxins as they are released in the way that causes the least discomfort.
Both my wife and I seem to be happier since we upped our intake of MSM. This would fit with: http://www.msm-info.com/#Stress
In August or September of 1996 I got pneumonia.... In August or September of 1997 I got bronchitis that acted the same as the pneumonia.... In August or September of 1998 I got bronchitis that acted the same as the pneumonia but...... I started using MSM in 1999 and never got bronchitis or pneumonia again. That fits with what Stanley Jacob M. D. wrote about MSM.
It seems that there may even be an easier way to detox than MSM????? I've never tried this method myself but it sounds promising. https://www.laweekly.com/nuubu-detox-patch-reviews-foot-patch-worth-it/ NUUBU DETOX PATCH REVIEWS – FOOT PATCH WORTH IT? L.A. WEEKLYJANUARY 10, 2021
Awesome.... I increased my dosage since I began to work at a building supply store in Mississauga a little over a year ago.........
DennisTate, I suspect that you may be taking too much and it may be having a negative neurological impact on your brain, making you wacky. MSM is not like other nutritional supplements, but rather increases the permeability of lipid barrier layers in the body, probably including the blood-brain barrier and might be having a detrimental impact on the myelin insulation sheathing of nerve cells. Might not be a good idea to continue taking high doses over very long periods of time, unless there is some underlying desperate medical condition.
I have backed down some in recent months. The reason I was taking higher doses for a period is because a fellow on an RA board said he took it highr to support RA issues. My issue is OA.
But... unlike back in the 1990's I am not lying on the floor with back pain....... so in my case...the risks are worth it!!!! Each situation is unique!!!
The group I mentioned above is The Road Back Foundation and primarly for RA people I was a member there for some yrs but not now. They talk MOSTLY about Dr. Brown's antiobiotic protocol. https://www.roadback.org/forums/
Is anyone familiar with DMSO? Dimethylsulfoxide. It is used a lot in veterinary medicine. It has a unique property of being a solvent for damn near everything and being able to transmit whatever it is mixed with directly through the skin and into the bloodstream.
