Which is irrelevant, in and of itself.

Yes... and the fact the law, according to your interpretation, renders the Militia irrelevant, is, in and of itself, irrelevant.

The "truth" is that very spare and carefully worded Amendment BEGINS by telling us why it is there..."A Well Regulated Militia Being Necessary...."

The AR-15 is a rifle, period. It is also not used much in crime. The handgun is used the most and small caliber handguns the majority with the 22 and 380 I think used the most because they are cheaper.

Which does not in any way modify, negate, or amend the fact the Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home.

You may hate the truth, but the truth it remains.

The only real difference is that the AR-15 is semi-auto only.
You say that like you do not realize said distinction is hugely significant.

Why do militaries issue the M16/M4 rather than the AR15?

FACT...the ammunition used in both the civilian version and the military version is virtually indistinguishable. The civilian weapon is essentially as powerful as a weapon of war.

The civilian version is semi-auto only as opposed to full auto but THAT distinction is pretty irrelevant when one realizes that the twitch of a finger and lack of significant recoil means that the civilian version can fire as fast as many machine guns

The anti-gun left wants to ban as many guns as it can, and believes it can, through blatant lies, convince low-information voters that 'assault weapons' are an existential threat to society and must be taken out of the hands of the law-abiding.

I notice you avoided the question:

Why do militaries issue the M16/M4 rather than the AR15?

    Well?

"The AR-15 is a rifle, period. It is also not used much in crime"

But when it is...the results are horrific...as Vegas, Parkland, Sandy Hook and countless others testify to

    As I thought:
You know you cannot honestly answer the question w/o voiding your position - and thus, your avoidance of same.
    I accept your concession.

Nice appeal to emotion fallacy you have there.
Fact is, every year, on average since 1982, 2-3 'assault weapons' are use to kill ~10 people in a mass shooting.
    Your conclusion: BAN THEM!!!!

Kill white people with a scary looking rifle and the left wants to ban it. Kill black people with handguns...silence.

Then how do you explain the obvious disparity?

'Tis true - the anti--gun left only cares about mass shootings when they fit the narrative.

Are you on board with banning hand guns in ANY form?

    No?

You mean you are (disengenuously) the problem?

So those not against the Constitution are a problem? Liberal logic 101.

And there you go. You cry crocodile tears about hand gun violence and then voice your opposition to dealing with it

    Dismissed
