1; I already own ammo, and I clean my rifle regularly 2;I don't drink on hunts cause I'm not a braindead hick redneck idiot. 3; There's less walking involved than you would think. I just find the largest source of water and/or food and stake it out. Deer come within a few hours. 4; I don't pay for processing. I dress and butcher the animals in camp and keep alot of ice and several coolers to store the meat.
Only big game animal I ever kilt, a 140 pound (?) sow hog from about 100 ft with my 1858 new model Army clone. It was awesome, I creeped up an airboat slough near the river and commenced the hostilities. 133 gr cast lead ball, passed thru both lungs. Hog ran 15 ft and dropped dead.
this is the same thing I do except with a bow.. just harvested a good size doe last week.. nothing like free range, "grass" feed hormone free organic red meat!
If you like meat, but eat very little of it, you should try my diet. I eat seafood and wild game, but I try to avoid normal "livestock" (beef. chicken, pork etc....) I myself also avoid dairy and eggs, I often end up eating a Vegan diet, when I can't get good fish, and outside of hunting seasons.
If there are no suitably fabulous social gatherings in New Orleans, I may subsist on rats and roadkill until a better movie deal comes along.
and most health problems in the US come from our diet. The only reason we live longer is because we have much better heathcare technology. If we had India's level of heathcare we would have an average lifespan of MAYBE 50.
the health care is rated 30th for the US and 33 for India. They actually have a pretty good health care system.. And yes the eating habits of the average US citizen is not close to being healthy.. but that actually helps my argument not yours
Thanks for reminding me of this old post from 7 years ago. I was a vegetarian for another 8 months then decided to lift and eat red meat. I am no longer vegetarian in any form. Still, it was a useful part of my life, I'm glad I did it.
I had a most excellent delmonico steak last night, perfect marbling. Just rare enough. Melt in your mouth fatness in every bite. We did not climb up the food chain to eat salad. My food eats the salad....then I eat it.
I am an omnivore. Here you can vote for your choice of food: >>> http://www.politicalforum.com/index...ou-omnivore-vegetarian-vegan-or-other.592977/ <<<
