The only time Russia interfered with the last election was by providing the Democrats with the Steele Dossier, paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC.
That's almost right and I provided the link. As you can see Menzies lost the popular vote but held on by two seats, 62-60. The same thing has ha[[ppened in other parliamentary based democracies. That's the system on which the electoral college is based in order not to be destroyed by 'the tyranny of the majority'. Donald Trump won 304-227, or 30 States to 20 a sound victory.
Trump won 394-227. That seems like it's around 60% higher than Clinton. And 30 States to 20 States. He'll probably do better the next time around given that the Dems are only interested in impeachment investigations rather than governing, and they're not very good at that either.
No, here, no one is above the law. He was obligated by his oath to report abuses of power and the election system. trump only holds the office of president. He isn't a king. He isn't a dictator. He isn't putin. He has to answer to the Constitution just like any other official or soldier.
We are talking popular vote and how the popular vote may not always determine who the PM or President may be. I gave you an example but there are others. The House and Senate are elected differently and are voted for in the states they represent.
I will tell you this , and im sure you heard it before . " where there is smoke there is fire" . I mean u have ne evidence against Trump bit you sure as hell ant gonna stop lookin , correct?
Oh boy . No american was charged with collusion with Russians. Russia involved in our elections ? Why didnt superman do something about it ? Trump was busy campaigning , or did you need him to do that too while BRock golfed.
You realize Hunter wasnt even under investigation. Just the company he worked for And the investigation was shut down long before. Sorry, nothing there Maybe Hunter is kenyan! Go with that
The charge of high crimes and misdemeanors covers allegations of misconduct by officials, such as dishonesty, negligence, perjury of oath, abuse of authority, bribery, intimidation, misuse of public funds or assets, failure to supervise, dereliction of duty, unbecoming conduct, refusal to obey a lawful order, chronic intoxication, including such offenses as tax evasion. Offenses by officials also include ordinary crimes, but perhaps with different standards of proof and punishment than for nonofficials, on the grounds that more is expected of officials by their oaths of office. The word "High" refers to the office and not the offense. Indeed the offense may not even be a breach of criminal statute.See Harvard Law Review "The majority view is that a president can legally be impeached for “intentional, evil deeds” that “drastically subvert the Constitution and involve an unforgivable abuse of the presidency” — even if those deeds didn’t violate any criminal laws." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_crimes_and_misdemeanors common law tradition, crimes were defined through a legacy of court proceedings and decisions that punished offenses not because they were prohibited by statutes, but because they offended the sense of justice of the people and the court. Whether an offense could qualify as punishable depended largely on the obligations of the offender, and the obligations of a person holding a high position meant that some actions, or inactions, could be punishable if he did them, even though they would not be if done by an ordinary person. Offenses of this kind survive today in the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It recognizes as punishable offenses such things as perjury of oath, refusal to obey orders, abuse of authority, dereliction of duty, failure to supervise, moral turpitude, and conduct unbecoming. These would not be offenses if committed by a civilian with no official position, but they are offenses which bear on the subject's fitness for the duties he holds, which he is bound by oath or affirmation to perform. https://www.constitution.org/cmt/high_crimes.htm
How could there be collusion between Russia and the US without Obama knowing about it? He and Vladimir were very close, especially since BO had more 'flexibility' after the election
Let me get this straight. Trump's request to investigate corruption is inline with a treaty with Ukraine that Bill Clinton signed but if you claim you are running for President you can get away with it without being investigated? Constant leaks of discussions with world leaders, which is illegal, is OK but insuring they are secured is illegal?
That's what they are doing now. Trying to pick the best three. I'd say moral turpitude, abuse of powers, and conduct unbecoming are in the lead.
All three would be difficult to enforce given the behavior of Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden. This confusion over how they might charge the President is not doing the county any good, given that there is an election just over a year away. Wouldn't it be in the better interests of the country to let the people decide next November and they can then retire the President themselves if they choose to do so?
The House has the responsibility to provide oversite of the executive branch. Given their druthers they would not impeach, but alas it's part of the job and in this case the public wants it. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-...-majority-of-americans-and-democrats-approve/
So true, there is voice and video evidence as proof . But its trump that colluded with russia. These guys are too much.
If the FBI investigates Biden it's legal. When Trump gets involved in a way that includes withholding Congressionally approved arms (extortion) and then tries to hide evidence of the call (obstruction) and threatens witnesses (witness tampering) it's not legal at all. It's corruption, plain as the nose on your face.
So the Party of Parody will now pursue impeachment by poll. That's their plan? They have no idea yet what they'll impeach him for but will hope, as they did with the $32 million Russia Hoax, that something might turn up. That's no way to run a country.
And they have video of Biden actually extorting the Ukranians but that gets a pass. Hard to believe what's going on.
