Sure. Maybe we could borrow the money from the Chinese to pay back the American consumer for the tariffs we put on Chinese products. Perfect.
Would you like to actually discuss the real issues facing the Chinese economy? I'm not prepared to follow you down a rabbit hole where you pretend their economy is 'fake."
The manufacturing "give away" was supported by BOTH political parties. On the Republican side, it was justified by "free trade." On the Democratic side, it was more "academic" and based on the "Post-Industrial Society." The reality was the shift of the American economy from corporate dominance to Wall Street dominance and the "Shareholder Value" movement. Companies, enabled by technology, left for lower labor costs and the promise of new markets abroad.
You claim to be a teacher, but you don't teach. Why should I credit your posts as anything more than TDS?
Yes, why don't you actually discuss the real issues facing the Chinese economy? Do you actually know what they are?
something has to be done to reduce corporations from foreign outsourcing and reduce consumers from buying overseas we can not survive as a society if most of the the jobs go overseas and most of the money goes overseas too - but we also need exports, so there has to be a balance I think Trump is handling it badly, but I think it's needed the one positive about Trump, is that he has got many republican to agree, now will they still agree under a dem President, who knows
read again, not sure why you keep insist on china GDP is inflated oh not argue the manufacture jobs, those are business decision made by coporate, not china. if not china it will be india or Vietnam or elsewhere. you should blame US multinational rather than china/india/Vietnam.
sadly that number is fake and too many do not get paid enough and still live below the poverty line do you support low wages, excessive foreign imports and excessive foreign outsourcing?
and your link that prove is fake? I support free market. are you saying we should stop imports and end up like NK.
never said we should stop imports, I said we should reduce excessive imports and excessive foreign outsourcing - I am an American though, other countries may differ in their opioions
What's your plan? We have full employment without bringing back work that pays $2/hour overseas and then protect domestic production by labor at $20/hour with tariffs. We're doing okay for the moment. But not this way. Trump can't be effective unless he wins over moderates.
you and I may be doing fine, but sadly many Americans could be doing better corporations are selling this country out yeah, Trump may not be able to get it done, but he has gotten many republican to support Tarrifs that never did in the past, so maybe under a dem we can work on this in a bipartisan way what I fear is Trump is so desperate for a deal that he just makes any old deal and we will have gone through all this for nothing
Americans are better off working at jobs paying $20/hour than bringing back low-skill factory work that we can get done for $2/hour overseas.
yes, some jobs will not come back, but some should, especially the foreign outsourcing to places like India, outsourcing all our tech jobs to India is a national security risk - those that control the data have the power think self driving cars, ect... India could shut us down with the flip of a switch
Because we are having a discussion and you are already donating your time gratis bloviating the above BS. It takes no more time to say something intelligent, assuming of course you have any intelligence. And what I see is content free. You might as well hire a monkey to do your typing. It would be just as enlightening.
