That was the first thing that popped in my head too. Until I did some research and it turns out it's like a sino-Tibetan language in Nepal. Or a computer programming language.
I am in my second year studying arab, it is so entertained but a little hard , anyone here studying the same?
Italian and Russian. Because the previous is not a very hard one, yet ver beautiful, also I am a huge Italophile and the latter is just too cool.
There is no inherently "harder" or "easier." It is always relative and involves a great number of factors.
I think Navajo or perhaps some other "Native Languages" belong to the harder as there are few speakers to teach you and the languages that do have teachers consist of strange noises and a grammar from hell. I had a professor who spoke Navajo and he would sometimes randomly say something that sounded like a cat whispering as it coughs up a hairball (not meant as an insult lol) and then he would add; "that means see you next week." But, yes. Of course it is relative. If your native language is a Germanic language, English will be easier to learn than if your native tongue is something else. Generally speaking, I think English is fairly simple and among the easier of Germanic languages to learn.
Very true. In some places now, they are adding a special seal to high school diplomas for students who have demonstrated a certain degree of bilingualism. It makes their degree more valuable in terms of the job market for those students who are not going on to college. It may be the case 30 or 40 years in the future that it will be very difficult to find any kind of job if one is not multilingual. Who knows? In any
it's just a 'fad'... nearly all other nationalities/countries are vying for 'english'... most every device has a translator app... i speak american, sign, & gesture...
I'd like to know several languages. Starting with Polish because that's my nationality. After that: Italian, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German, Arabic, and so on. I'm not really interested in learning any of them.
a few decades from now, english will be the only language spoken worldwide, to be more precise the american bastardized version of english... yeah, binary also... however that isn't spoken (vocalized)...
Really, I just want to learn fluent Spanish ( the Mexican kind). Practical and I might better understand my McDonalds order taker. Lotta need for spanish speaking translators here.
won't need to, because i don't give a damm, however i do think it'll come to fruition at some point in the future... unless the chinese invade the usa...
