    Here's the gem of the bunch: GA Senator Kelly Loeffler sold off over $1 Million in stocks. Guess who her husband is? None other than Jeffrey Sprecher, chairman of the New York stock exchange.

    A Democrat did the same but it appears she had no control of the sell so it is slightly different along with three other Republicans, one of the Republicans were in the same situation as the Democratic congresswoman. The other two seemed to have violated SEC rules.

    I am sure the Justice Department will immediately investigate any potential instances of illegal insider trading impartiality.
    And just as quickly dismiss it

    Something should happen to all of them regardless of political party, be it legally or they should resign. Not the best time to take financial benefit from that information only they were privy to.

    Here's a fun fact:

    The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act, designed to combat insider trading by members of Congress, which was signed into law by Obama in 2012, had passed the Senate 96-3. The 3 "nay" votes were:

    Thomas Coburn

    Jeff Bingaman

    and Richard Burr

    I met with my broker back in February and we discussed what the situation was and what could happen he told me what they were selling and buying and we decided on how much a cash position I should take and how much to leave in the market. Can I expect the SEC to be coming after me?

    Corruption should be expected from the Republican leaders at this point, seems it requires a major character flaw (aka greed) to serve the red hats.

    These are the same people that feel a Democrat writing a book and making money is the same as extortion, fraud and steering public funds to their bank accounts if a Republican does it.

    What was stupid about meeting with my broker back in February and adjusting my portfolio and what markets would be affected and how? From what I'm reading about what the Senator bought and sold my broker must have been sitting in on the congressional meetings.

    You weren't discussing your investments back then? THAT would be stupid.

    Is that what the RW considers "draining the swamp"?

    Both of these Senators should be investigated and charged and convicted for Insider Trading.

    They should pay a fine equivalent to twice the profit they made on the stock sale.

    They should do Federal Prison Time (like Martha Stewart).

    Both, should be expelled from The Senate.

    Do you expect justice to be done inside the Beltway? I don't. Those in government are above the law. James Comey prosecuted Martha Stewart for telling white lies to FBI agents, but those same agents can lie to the FISA court and nothing is done.
