    Trump obviously didn't take inventory of the mask stockpile, he probably thought enough of Obama to assume he had done what he was supposed to do, which was unfortunate that he didn't. Trump was also busy fixing everything else the Obama admin screwed up. That Obama admin really left America holding the bag, geez, thanks for nothing Obama.

    For once we are in agreement. Yes, it is true that Barack Obama and his token vice president jointly raped the nation of vital n-95 face masks and then Barack signed into law a bill making it darn difficult to replace them because he and Joe were rump-holes; but between the two years long soft coup attempt against him and that impeachment farce against him, Trump has had plenty of time to fix what together Barack and Token Joe deliberately broke. Shame on Trump!

    Worst regime since Herbert Hoover. 8 years of that hell, and they think it's comparable to the Trump administration? If it weren't for their resistances, their paux 'investigations', their own 'abuses of power'(which they themselves gleefully say is justified.), we could've had a renaissance with a center-left/right(depending on the issue) Trump government.

    It's the flexibility with which Donald Trump governs, that is his greatest strength. A strength that thanks to overzealous 'progressives', we never got to take advantage of.

    It s clear that you are making every argument you can to ensure Trump accepts no responsibility for this. You’re also trying to tarnish Biden even though there is no evidence this was within his responsibility as VP.

    The fact is that Dirty Donny had three years and did nothing. You can blame Obama if you want, but Trump is president now and did nothing.
    If Trump “didn’t take inventory” that reveals his incompetence. Every incoming president should get a complete status report. Snapshot of how things stand. Of course a lot is delegated but as the man at the top he’s responsible for delegating to responsible people.
    This is particularly true if - as you argue - Obama was thought to have been incompetent.

    Trump failed the nation. That Obama might also have failed does not reduce Trump’s failure.

    Not "might also have", he did. If you say Trump failed the nation, then Obama failed the nation first. That's called equality. And yes, it would've been nice if we were on top of our game, but the technical law mechanics made it difficult(and there wasn't a pandemic at the time) and these N95 Masks, like everything else is constrained by the freaking Chinese.

    So you see, it's neither racist nor xenophboic. The Chinese have proven that at this time, they're just not good for doing business.

    I never gave Trump a pass, I simply said you can't replace 95 million masks and 19.5 million pieces of PPE in one year, or even 3 years. That puts it into Obama/Biden territory. Obama and Biden obviously knew the masks and PPE were depleted, did Trump know? Did the Obama/Biden administration inform the incoming Trump administration they used them but never replaced them? If you can prove that then I'll hammer Trump worse than you are. But if Obama/Biden let Trump walk into a sucker punch, then Joe Biden has no business as President.
