Dig out your rotary phone and call in a delivery. Didn't you say you're 65? I'd say you've had at least the last 45 years to prepare for something like this yet all you do is bitch on a message board for political reasons. Just another Orange Man Bad rant.
Totally false, in many states unemployment claims cannot be filed on-line other than in the middle of night because their systems are so jammed up by filings, no filing, no payment, then their is the backlog of approving claims, many times they are being pushed out by up to six weeks. The same applies to small business', I filed for a loan from the SBA two weeks back, their web site informed me I would receive a status of my application within 2 business days, a confirmation I just received today. I have no idea of how many business' you have owned, but I can assure many small business' will not survive two weeks of a shutdown if not provided with some form of assistance. And $600 is the max, not the actual amount that may be paid out and are considered taxable income, which come 2021 will create another burden on already money strapped people. To estimate how much you might be eligible to receive, add together the gross wages in the two highest quarters during that period, divide by 2, and then multiply by 0.0385 to get your weekly benefit amount. You really need to dig deeper into the subject and get an idea of what is actually happening in this country.
Those are Republican states where the state government wanted to make unemployment as hard to get as possible for the most part. But even there...once they get through...they'll get retroacive payments. They have also gotten $1200 per person and $500 per child. So yea...digging out...is not the issue you make it out to be
I own a small business. We got one small loan about 3 weeks ago from the SBA Disaster Relief program and are working on a PPP loan that is supposed to be finalized tomorrow. The loans are there...somewhat belated because of the chaos of the Trump Admin but they are there Wrong. It's whatever your state would normally pay out per your employment status PLUS $600/week.
Newsflash...delivery poses risk. I have a friend who got the virus from a PIZZA delivery. She's been fighting this thing for almost 2 months So ...yea
Post a link to back up the specious claim. As for retroactive, that doesn't help people who need to bay bills last week.
Well what did they have....a nice face-to-face chat? I hope i never get so senile so as to lose my common sense. You probably don't make fun of preppers any more, do you?
If you think "opening up" is a good idea right now...you already have Good point Nope. And neither did the mother of a friend of mine who got it delivering Meal on Wheels This thing is contagious as hell
BS, when a person has bills piling up, that one time payment is drop in the bucket of what they need to survive. And waiting for unemployment payments are not a viable alternative, when bills have to be paid.
That one time payment...will get you through until UI kicks in. And you really ought to jump on your Republican legislators for screwing THAT (unemployment) up too. Working damn well in NY and NJ
What claim are you talking about? And where the hell did you get this "three percent change"? If you open the country now, you'll probably be seeing the end of the pandemic by sometime next year.
Well Bonded said. So no deliveries, no going out, just how many do you think have a couple of months of food on hand? Very few...which is why letting the virus run rampant is a REALLY bad idea right now So your advocating people who are not over the top prepared, should not go out or have what they need delivered, stay in isolation until they die of starvation or lack of medication. That's real nice, real nice.
Well Lesh, FYI if you think 6 feet works outside when the wind is blowing 10 mph (for example), you best multiply that 6 feet by 3 if you are down wind from an infected person. To be honest, I just shake my head at the morons who think 6 feet is some magical distance. Lots of variables. Opening up is a fine idea but I can't help the fact that half of the people in the country are morons. My customers are certainly no exception.
I've seen infra read simulations of breath. It's warm so it shows up. At six feet there is some left...past that not much. At six feet there are no droplets (the most infectious part) And with a mask...it's little over a foot. Wear your mask Karen. It protects ME from you Opening up is a death sentence for a lot of seniors. That's obvious and you just don't care.
Too bad because of the orange clown you are reopening without enough equipment or intelligence for that matter....
No droplets, really? What was the temperature and humidity in this lab experiment? Did those droplets evaporate or just fall to the ground because they damn sure don't magically vanish. Was that just normal breathing or were they talking ? Somebody sneezes outside in 15mph wind and 70% humidity for example, you best be upwind or 25 feet away.
