You obviously don’t. You just keep saying ID like they are all generic. They aren’t. It’s simply an act if being identified. It’s up to states to determine what they should be for registration and voting.

Trust that if someone tells me I need a picture ID, I understand perfectly what is needed.

The Republicans gave us a sneak preview of their voter suppression in the Georgia voting yesterday. Six hour wait in black districts. voting machines brought to the wrong sites. It's just a question of how flagrant they are going to be in their cheating.

The right will lie all day and next month about this of course. THEY HAVE TO!!! Of course fair voting is the death knell of Republicans and they know it. Just look at what happened in Georgia yesterday. Clear intentional and obvious Republican effort to suppress the vote in lower income neighborhoods while providing excellent voting experience in wealthy neighborhood to the north.

Republicans cannot win with a fair vote. So they have the vote limited, twisted, cheated, suppressed, and prevented in any location that traditionally produces democratic majority votes.

We need the Congress to be able to declare a mis-vote or a stolen vote and have the whole election repeated on the say so of 1/3 of Congress. If Republicans had to keep doing the vote over and over and over until they gave up all trickery, it might stop quickly.

The vote in November is expected to be the biggest EVER, and the Democrats have fair warning that they need to be ready for every kind of trick and cheating by Republicans. If they don't have it covered, then the Dems are in need of a huge progressive left take-over.

There is NOTHING fair about making different rules for different people.

That's the polar opposite of fair.

Oh, now we’re calling it a “picture“ ID. That’s better. Just using the term ID says nothing. My street address with my name is sufficient for our voting precinct to ID me. If there is any doubt, they have a sufficient amount of info from your registration to easily and quickly ask you another question. The idea that someone would commit a felony for just one vote ( cause they check you off) and try to memorize info they didn’t have a clue about, is ridiculous. If a state wants to add ID, fine. They have to deal with the next election and a quick turn around and voter suppression charges.

How much does it take to change the outcome of a close election?

Why support when you register but not when cast your vote? I've asked you repeatedly?

So Democrats can't win without it? Why? It's fairly new yet Democrats have won elections for decades.

Straw man I never claimed there has ever been such a system but simple because it has happened does not require that we make it easier, what utter folly. And it what has fewer problems than go to the polling place show your ID get a ballot and cast it? The only problems have been primarily and a few Democrat counties run by inept election officials and yet you want them to run complicated mail in systems. Again more folly.

Mass mailing voting for local citizens. But then you knew that.

You don't need to chase insignificant problems.

If you want to go after cheating, go after Republicans, esp. in the South.

Face it, Trump votes by mail, Republicans loved voting by mail right up to the day they realised they had lost the Senior vote...

That they are doing it in a pandemic, to try and get people not to vote, tells me everything I need to know about Republicans. They cheat, and if democracy has to die for them to win, they have no problem with that.

    Why the dodge

How much does it take to change the outcome of a close election?

Why do you say we should only go after Republican cheating and allow Democrat cheating? If huge groups are allowed to gather in a say take over of 6 blocks of Seattle and force other citizens to go through their "checkpoints" the why can't we vote in person?

Cite all there Republicans who "loved voting by mail" and then changed their minds after a loss.

    It's not a dodge.

Back in the real world, you need evidence.

Republicans are always trying to throw a monkey wrench into elections, and they never, ever have a good reason for it...

My favorite moment was when a judge in Virginia asked to see the evidence of voter fraud, and the lawyer for the state had to admit he didn't have any.

The burden of proof is on you.
