As for the civil war, the confederate traitors got more than they deserved from Lincoln, who was most gracious in their defeat.
It was a mistake to let the traitors forget. Look at how uppity they got.
Some shitholes in the south refused to celebrate the 4th of July for 75 years after the war.

Southern Democrats of that era were hardly known for their intelligence.. What's alarming is how democrat strongholds like California go unabated in newer more stealthy slavery practices with the Latino and south American dark skinned people.
