It does not surprise me, or anyone else, that you do not know:
    - Trump was not impeached for Obstruction of Justice
    - Romney voted to impeach for Abuse of Power
Says she who lives in a glass house.

Yeah we know, if you win your gonna burn the whole thing down. Political posture and bloody minded threats have been the way of the left since the French Revolution followed by excessively bloody tyrannies.

Maybe Romney is beginning to get over Trump snubbing him for a cabinet position.

Even he may have realized that after months of watching Dem Party politicians essentially making it possible for their radical fringe elements to loot, burn, and destroy at will retaining his seat rather depends on his at least starting to PRETEND that he's a genuine Republican again rather than the blatant RINO that he's really been for years.

Ya know, maybe it was a burning bush told him to wise up. Maybe it was a 3 a.m. call from whoever funded his last campaign. But he did back down. Show of bravado, be his own man, the usual drill. For now.

Michiganians who have studied this well-coiffed cretin will ALWAYS suspect the worst. Until he actually votes he's still just a blast of Santa Ana wind on a hot September day. He's as big a mouth as that halfwit before Trump.

It's a test flare. Wait until after the reelection and see how his poll-numbers top-out then.

There was no violation, the Constitution does not have a set time frame. If you folks still don't get why nothing was wrong with what they did in 2016, there is little point in discussing such matters now...

Maybe Romney lives in a strongly conservative state and wants to keep his job.
Voting to remove on Article I had no impact on anything, but to deny a seat on the SC has long-term repercussions..

Odd the headline doesn't match the quote of what was actually said... “That doesn’t mean that we want to take care of the person, or should be required to take care of the person, who sits home, drinks Coca-Cola, no offense, drinks sugary drinks, and doesn’t exercise, and eats poorly and gets diabetes. Is that the same thing as Jimmy Kimmel’s kid? And I don’t think that it is.”

With that said, the Trump admin has taken historic action to lower the cost of insulin for disbetes:

Ah, yes, 34 million with diabetes in the US, and it is all their own fault, so they should be made to suffer. Typical anti-social Trump attitude.

But, back to the topic: I think Romney has a point that he may disagree with Trump (mostly), but that doesn't mean he has to disagree with a nominee for the SC.

From what I can see, the front runner, Amy Barrett, will be hard to attack for Dems. The only opinion that really seems to matter here is on abortion. In contrast, she also seems to be against the death penalty (what do you think about that, conservatives?). Third, it is hard for me to imagine that a mother of seven, with two adopted children and one with special needs could vote to repeal coverage of pre-existing conditions. of course, I have been wrong on judging people before, so take that with a grain of salt.
