They are not Trump supporters. We Trump supporters supported the great things Trump did. We never supported 100% of things he did called antics. But for a president devoted to the job he held to be vilified daily was plain anti American. Sedition in my view.

 

No and this is why. The Congress as well as the constitution created DC. Not as a state. Only a 68.34 mi² area. I would be more understanding if DC was called a city in MD or VA than it being called a state.

 

Your argument that there should be a single swat team to protect a massive complex of building with multiple entrances and tens of thousands of people a day moving through them seems to not mesh with the reality I suppose. And of course there is the problem of multiple points of entry being breached at once cannot be protected by a single swat team. It would much more effective just to never allow the public in at all and build a giant fence around the area like at the White House.

 

DC has its own national guard. It has fewer members than the number of police that were already on hand that day, but it does exist.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, because you're right - they did do damage to federal buildings, as well as burned down large areas of cities and Democrats and the media didn't give a damn. IF DC is called a city. Wait that is what it actually is, a city. San Francisco is a city with 46.87 Sq miles. It does not want to be a state.

Boise is the size of DC and is not trying to get 2 senators plus congress to represent the city.

 

The WH and Pentagon repeatedly denied requests to deploy Maryland National Guard, even after the breach. Looks like it was Pence who finally pulled the trigger.

 

After Maryland and Virginia governors ordered theirs up to do the same. It is unclear whether the Army mobilized based on Trump's order or Pelosi's earlier request from the reports I read yesterday.
