    The people Obama appointed, Trump tried working with them instead of expeditiously taking trash out.

    Over the Trump's presidency, how many Trump's appointees were discovered being closet Democrats and neverTrumpers?

    More than enough to cause chaos.

    Never Trumpers, Deep State agents, Rinos, closet Democrats.... But it's impossible to admit that hardly anyone was capable of working with Trump.

    The Commissioner of Social Security has always been a politically appointed position as are many in the federal government. This is nothing new, it happens with every party change.

    It’s funny. When Trump was firing people from the prior administration, he was called a heartless dictator Nazi. Why is that?

    “Attacked” is on a different level though. The MSM is nothing the Right can compare with in sheet volume. Thought Biden was the great Uniter, like Obama? Bringing maturity back into the WH, because Trump apparently did a bunch of things no other president was doing, hehe? Nope. Some old ****.

    Certainly accomplished more in the ME and on our border than every prior president…in just 4 years, while being mercilessly attacked from inside the WH and the MSM. And exposing how truly corrupt DC is was needed. We always knew but watching it play out so openly was necessary. If only he stayed off Twitter, he might have been easier to like.

    Oh please. You folks own all of talk radio, there is no difference.

    If you believed that ****, I have a nice bridge to sell you.

    This guy though was a dinosaur in his thinking, in a time when telework is expanding around the country and it has been proven people can work productively remotely, he was taking away that from the SSA folks.

    Are you aware that IF Cruz could have delayed the count and, in that delay, a small number of alternative electors could have been found in the swing states to tie the electoral vote and throw the election to the House, Trump could have won legitimately? Of course, getting from "A" to "B" was virtually impossible, but I doubt anyone wanted to tell Trump that. Why do you think Graham, McConnel and McCarthy were so angry with Trump the night of January 6th?

    Can you say this slower please?

    I don't understand how the EC works at all. I've read a billion things about it but I don't get it.

    If this is possible, why wouldn't Cruz delay the count?

    What's the point in doing anything if all they had to do was pick the electors that will vote the way they want?

    There are basicly 3 types of Federal employees:

    1. Civil Service (with merit protection and competitive hiring );
    2. Excepted service (no merit protection and streamlined hiring);
    3. Political appointee (what the name implies).

    If this Guy Saul was appointed by Trump he is a political appointee and therefore, Biden requesting a resignation is just a formality. So now he is fired. BFD. Much to do about nothing.

    Because his motion, on January 6th failed to pass. The rule for the joint session was that challenges had to be supported by one Senate member (Cruz) and one House member (can't remember who that was...maybe Rep Gosar of Arizona). Then, the Senate and House had to adjourn to their own chambers (they were in the House, so the Senate and Pence had to adjourn to the Senate, while the House remained in their own chamber). The motion would then be debated and voted upon separately. In order to proceed, the motion had to be passed by a simple majority by both the Senate and the House. That's the "impossible point," because Cruz must have known it wouldn't pass the House Democratic majority. The motion was to delay the count for ten days, appoint a special National Commission, and investigate the election fraud accusations, then reconvene and continue the count. Presumably, the hope would be to change the electors in several swing states to secure a tie at the final recount.

    According to the Constitution, in cases wherein no one gets a majority, it goes to the House for the determining vote. But, and here is the important part, each state gets only one vote. Thus the big states, such as California and New York, get only one vote each. If you do a count on that basis, it's likely the Republicans would have won the final vote by round 30-20, because there are more single Republican states than Democratic ones (or 30-21, counting D.C.).

    So...the ten day national commission delay wasn't really an effort to audit the election, as much as it was the time to reapportion a sufficient number of electors, in order to deprive Biden of the majority and throw the election to the House.

    If the riot was connected to that, it would have probably amounted to "sedition" instead of insurrection - i.e. not an attempt to overthrow the government, as much as manipulate it toward a legitimate path to basically nullify the election.

    No problem. Of course, it failed. The newest alternative course is for Republicans to take back the House majority next year in the mid-term elections. Then elect Trump as Speaker of the House (the Speaker does not have to be a member of the House, although that assumption would probably be challenged in the Courts). Then impeach Biden and Harris in the House and convict them in the Senate, putting Trump into the Presidency.

    The problem is that NONE expects the Democrats to lose that many Senate seats, thus depriving Republicans of the 2/3rds majority necessary for conviction.

    I suspect most of these crazy schemes are to collect money from people who don't understand how the government works.

    P.S. There are 34 Senate seats up for election next year. 20 are Republican seats; 14 are Democratic seats. Currently, they are split 50-50. It takes 2/3rds or 67 votes to convict on impeachment. If the Democrats lost EVERY seat up for election, they would still have 36 seats, giving the Republicans 64 seats in the new Congress, or 3 seats/votes short of the 67 seats/votes needed.
