US intelligence community 'struggled' to brief Trump, CIA study says

The US intelligence community "struggled" to brief President-elect Donald Trump in 2016, achieving "only limited success" in educating and developing a relationship with the incoming president, according to a newly released unclassified history of the transition period published by the CIA's in-house academic center.

Although Trump spent substantial time with briefers on a routine basis throughout the transition period, his free-wheeling style and deep mistrust of the intelligence community presented them with "greater challenges" even than President-elect Richard Nixon, who blamed the CIA for his election loss in 1960 and cut the agency out as president, the history found.

CNN is going through another scandal with their steroid fill anchor who’s also the brother of a sexual abuser. It’s too soon to deflect attention away from CNN’s problems with a new variant, so they’re rolling with Trump.

According to the report, the intelligence community struggled large part because Trump “doubted the competence of intelligence professionals and felt no need for regular intelligence support.” Not since Nixon, nearly 50 years earlier, did the nation’s intelligence staff have such a difficult time with a president, Helgerson said.

Clapper and Brennan were two high ranking people in the intelligence services. They were heads of intelligence services(CIA and DNI) They have both lied to Congress. Our(not yours, though I wouldn’t be surprised if your government has the same issues ours does) intelligence services have been involved in too many shady and downright awful things to get me to trust them completely. They may give me some good information, or they may be full of crap. Or they may lie to congress, they could spy on American citizens, institute coups in foreign nations, smuggle drugs, dang man I could go on and on. Why anyone would blindly trust our intelligence services is beyond me, and should be beyond you too based on their history alone.

Governments suck, and are at best a necessary evil.
