The Amish approached Covid 19 very differently.

The approach the Amish took led to ninety percent herd immunity among the Amish.....
this is an approach that is really worth looking at and seriously considering.

The Amish did not close down at all like the rest of America did.

no one thought they would get the vaccine, but it has not been easy on them

"COVID-19 Has Hit The Amish Community Hard. Still, Vaccines Are A Tough Sell"

    https://www.npr.org/sections/health...community-hard-still-vaccines-are-a-hard-sell

"The Amish communities of northeast Ohio engage in textbook communal living. Families eat, work and go to church together, and through the pandemic, mask-wearing and social distancing have been spotty. As a result, these communities have experienced some of the state's highest rates of infection and deaths."

that said, I do think their good diet and active lifestyle is a plus for them when it comes to covid

I'm not sure why anyone would want to consider an approach that produced such poor results, but I have long since stopped trying to work out why some poeple think what they think.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8195242/

The vaccines work in reducing infections, serious illness & death. Other approaches are less effective.

The clot shots are dangerous to all, fatal to many.

Full Measure did a great job showing the attitude of the Amish. A very pragmatic bunch they are, going on about their lives while so many of the non-Amish are in full stampede, frightened silly.

Boris Johnson was initially going to try this approach and people freaked out. Ironically, it was rounding up and isolating seniors that was more offensive than the prospects of bodies stacked high in the streets.

    Interesting......
BigMedia has a dog in the face when it comes to keeping the average person scared......

    I have to admit....
now that I am living in Mississauga I may do some looking around to see if I can get in contact with some Amish....... because they seem like a community of people that I would really enjoy connecting to. Their fearlessness in the face of death is seriously impressive..... and yes.... their approach has proven to be wise indeed over the long term!

I like the Amish in theory. I, however, love modern technology in reality.

I find it interesting when people unequivocally parrot so-called science: "The vaccines work in reducing infections, serious illness & death. Other approaches are less effective."

How exactly do we know this to be true? It is actually impossible to prove. A majority of people read or hear this and absolutely want to believe it, but there is zero scientific proof behind that statement. Again, as much as people want to believe it, no lab tests have or can approve it without years and years of scientific testing.

You cannot determine how each individual would both react to being infected with Covid without the vaccine and how they would react with the vaccine. And it is proven that every human being is different in their bodies response to Covid. We had a close friend who was fully vaccinated and he died from Covid in about 3 weeks after being infected. We had another friend who was very sick for a month before the vaccines, but was never hospitalized. We have family members that are not vaccinated who have gotten Covid and it ranged from mild to a bad flu for them.

And speaking of science, it said masks will help. Then it said it won't. Then it said it would. Then it said maybe double masks. Then it said we don't need masks except in very large groups. And not it says all of us need N95 masks, but Biden and company won't let that be guidance from the CDC.

Science and politics. Politics and science. Ever evolving with no real right answer.

I had Covid before we knew what was making us all sick. In Dec of 2019 the So Cal ER's and urgent care clinics were standing room only. I fought it off without being hospitalized but it was bad. I had one of the variants about 3 months ago, it was no worse than my every springtime allergies. Anti-bodies testing proved it was Covid. Now here the kicker, I am 64 years old and have bad liver problems and stage 3 kidney failure. I had those problems in Dec of 2019. Breathing was difficult but not life threatening. I attribute that to never smoking. I still have had no vaccinations and here I am. This is why I won't.........

It's like playing Russian roulette taking vaccines with no long term study's for side effects.

Of course, they say the first cases in the U.S. started in late January. Specifically, January 20. 2020. I was in Vegas from December 25-30, 2019. Came home and was sick for days after around the 2nd or 3rd of January. Complained to my wife about not being able to smell and not being able to taste. And what I did taste, tasted bad. All extremely unusual for me. If it was early Covid, I was a lucky one with no lasting effects of this man-made hypocrisy.

Sorry for your challenges that this brought upon you! My wife and I reluctantly chose the vaccine. She has auto-immune problems and I did it to "potentially" protect her. Who knows for sure? Not this guy.

More than anything, I believe in the freedom of everyone to make that choice for themselves.

Funny how the left fights for abortions with women chanting "my body, my choice!" When it comes to Covid 19......here take this vaccine or else.....

It's like playing Russian roulette taking vaccines with no long term study's for side effects. I just feel bad for the kids, they're going to have to live with the aftermath.

Yes, it is impossible to prove.

However proving that the shots don't work and are dangerous to all is easy to prove because all the data shows that. Our empirical experiences show it to be true. More shots in any given population leads to more infections in that population.

To be fair, the anti viral mRNA shots have been pretty ineffective recently. The evidence and data now show that the spread and infections of covid are mostly folks who had the anti viral mRNA shots.

    But that's the problem.
You, or some 90 year old who contracted the Spanish flu and survived. And then caught Covid and survived.
And no one can explain why.
But then you have healthy 20, 30, 40, 50 year old individuals contract Covid and die.

    Covid is entirely individualized.
How it affects each individual depends upon the individual.

But no one can explain which individuals it's going to affect.

Personally, I don't want to risk it. For me or other faimly members.

It is a Russian roulette in more ways then one. My Father in law has only one kidney and heart issues. With his health you would think the shot would be a no-brainer. After the first one, he had terrible consequences...fainting, going into a delirium not able to function for days....that doctor said " no more shots for you".
I personally am glad I got the 2 shots. I think some sort of immunity had to have happened...its not so novel to my system now. But man o man was I sick for days. My daughter and husband had zero adverse affects. Russian roulette!

It's a damned if you do or damned if you don't scenario. For all the examples the pro vaccine crowd want to shot of someone who was unvaccinated and died, there is evidence for the contrary; those who did take the vaccine and died. Some days after taking the vaccine, raising the question as to the influence of the vaccine on their death, or later on from Covid.

We can back and forth that ad naseum. Fanatics on both sides will call names to their counterparts for not agreeing with them.

At this point in most places, the vaccinated are 60% to 90% of the population, yet hospitalization keeps at the point that they claim collapse is imminent. How is that possible if it's only the unvaccinated, and in some countries that's only 10% of the population. It's not possible. Data from various countries prove that too, that vaccinated are still in hospital and still dying.

The science behind the vaccines keeps changing. From won't get it, won't spread it, to will get it and spread it but won't have serious symptoms, to you will have serious symptoms but not go to hospital, to you will go to hospital but won't die, to you'll get a special vaccine passport spot in heaven if you die.

It's absurd and anyone denying this just can't admit they were wrong, and are hysterical to the point where reasoning doesn't work with them anymore. Too bad a good majority of them are supposedly educated.

This video addresses the problem quite well

Natural immunity is the best, they are tinkering with nature as well as our own natural immunity. Did we learn nothing from what happened to "anti-biotics" from being over prescribed, it produced a strain of super bug that anti-biotics can't kill. Since none of the vaccines kill the virus dead, they are creating the ideal incubation environment for it to mutate into something no one can stop. The virus has time on it's side.

    Way to go Professor Peabody!!!!!
"Health experts met today to discuss the uptick in severe cardiac problems and heart attacks in younger people and athletes.

No obvious cause could be identified, though suggestions included "running too fast," "excessive monster energy drinks", and "climate change."

This is from a meme with a group of serious people at a round table with an elephant in the room beside them!!!!!

Evidence is finally coming out that the vaccines are actually more dangerous for children than the virus itself.

Interestingly enough, over the last couple of years I have read from different sources that smokers are hospitalized with severe covid symptoms less often.

I have a theory for this. Covid likes to be deep in the lungs. Smokers deep lungs are full of tar and nicotine that say no way buddy I was here first.

I'll smoke another one to that

One should also note that the Amish use far fewer electrical appliances, or none at all, and certainly no wireless & smart devices. Their living environment is thus far healthier in terms of EMF exposure. But unfortunately they're still exposed to cell tower, radio tower and satellite radiation. So they're not completely safe from EMF. (They're less likely also to accept vaccinations.)

Since they refuse to buy electricity from the public grid, but still depend on energy for many of their everyday operations, they were forced to develope many workarounds. To power appliances, Amish use batteries, propane gas, compressed air pressure, various generators, hydraulic pumps, and even solar panels.

I doubt that is it, what really helps them is they do not eat heavily processed seed oils

almost every restaurant in the USA uses this stuff in their friers, grills, etc and many Americans use it in their homes and almost all processed food uses it

If that were the case there wouldn't be so many sick Amish (per your article link). Their diet & lifestyle hasn't changed much over the generations. But one thing has indeed changed: an increase in exposure to wireless radiation. (And I believe some of the younger Amish members do use cell phones now.) This is not just a human issue. This has adversely affected all forms of animal life, insects, and plant life as well.

Plus, we need to consider those Amish that privately took the vax and became ill from it.

nope, a virus can affect anyone, healthy and non-healthy, but the healthy may survive it better... some viruses even get the best of the healthy
