Where is it from? Not yourself, you read it in Putin's mind.
gave a lot. But almost all of them died in warehouses with the first strikes of cruise missiles. By the way, not only the Javelins are changing the rules of war, but the Russian "Calibers" too.

Russia presses invasion to outskirts of Ukrainian capital
    ...

The Ukrainian military on Friday reported significant fighting in the area of Ivankiv, about 60 kilometers (40 miles) northwest of Kyiv, as Russian forces apparently tried to advance on the capital from the north. It said one bridge across a small river had been destroyed.

“The hardest day will be today. The enemy’s plan is to break through with tank columns from the side of Ivankiv and Chernihiv to Kyiv. Russian tanks burn perfectly when hit by our ATGMs (anti-tank guided missiles),” Interior Ministry adviser Anton Gerashchenko said on Telegram.

Yar, but air superiority is likely to become an issue eventually, as well as the sheer numbers of these things that Russia can send.

It's going to be a hell of a fight.

Ukrainian MP as jet planes fly overhead: "Our men and women have died for this freedom"
Ukrainian lawmaker Lesia Vasylenko was urging the international community to give assistance on Friday when she was interrupted by the sound of jets flying overhead.

"If this continues at the level it is happening now, these air strikes happening, the tanks rolling in, Ukraine will not be able to stand for long against such a massive Russian aggression, and we need assistance," she told CNN from Kyiv. She added that more sanctions are needed, as well as more weapons in Ukraine and the closure of the country's airspace.

She paused for a while, glancing out of her window off camera. "I'm sorry ... as we speak, there were several planes flying in the direction of the city. And we know from the President's address just several minutes ago that air strikes are to begin right about now," she said, with a rumbling noise in the background.

"We are all exhausted from this, because we have helicopters, we have airplanes, fighter jets, flying all around all the time. And every time we hear a noise, it's like looking out of the window, where is it going? Is it going to hit or is it going to miss?"
She added that despite the fear, she also felt faith "in the Ukrainian army and in the Ukrainian people."

"People here are brave and are not up to giving up their country," she said. "We do not want to live under somebody's rule, whoever it is. We are a free people. We have fought for our freedom. Our men and women have died for this freedom."

Durandal, I see, after your announcements of "Infernal Battle" and thousands of victims - whole cities stand, people move along the streets without bending down ... and they are not even afraid to drive cars and communicate with armed people. Some kind of war is not right. Americans don't fight like that.

It makes perfect sense. Russia already invaded Ukraine in 2014 and you libos did not say a word. The magic negro president and his corrupt senile thin man VP did nothing because they were in collusion with Russia. .

Biden's crack head son got paid millions from both a Russian Oligarch and a Ukrainian oligarch and we have Biden on video helping the Ukrainian oligarch by getting the prosecutor investigating them fired...

I'm calling you libos on your bs and hypocrisy. Biden wanted this invasion because his poll numbers suck.

It was late December 1991 for me. A couple days in Moscow and then a week and a half in Odessa. They (Ukraine) had just started flying their flag for the first time since WW2.

It seemed like nearly everyone knew a little English. The only person who didn’t that I spent a lot of time with was the nice little old lady I stayed with in Odessa. The two other guys and I who were staying with her didn’t know exactly what to say when the second evening there she we adamant we needed to “******”. Turns out she had a small shower and it was one of the two days of the week the building had hot water. LOL. That women fed us breakfast and as soon as we left for the day she went out and waited in lines all day to buy food for us for supper. As I said before I loved the people.

Those two weeks taught me so much about politics, human nature, economics and the human spirit I wouldn’t know where to start describing it all. It was an unbelievable learning experience I’ll treasure always.

Exactly. Biden is a total failure. He can't inspire any support, but pure patriotism can rally us behind even the Bidenette against a common enemy. He NEEDS a war.

Here is the collusion you dems are so obsessed about. Phony chest pumping patriots you are.

Collusion between Russia and Obama and Biden. Clear as daylight. Millions being passed to Biden's son just before the 2014 invasion. Obama offering to give Russia what they want after the election. Hillary and the DNC purchasing dirt on Trump called the Steele dossier.

Blatant obvious collusion. Democrats and Russia.

I e been pretty clear the solutions to the problem presented themselves long before Biden became President. I said he had a hand of a pair of threes. He was dealt that hand. I’m not blaming him. This started being set up to fail in 1994 or so when Ukraine was convinced to trade their nukes for guarantees of security. Biden wouldn’t have had a major role in that. Neither did Trump.

Putin is not operating on coincidences. He planned this for years and set a lot of wheels in motion. He is setting the time schedule. We dance to his tune.

Did the voices on the TV tell you that? Only Ukrainian shells exploded in the houses of the Donbass. And your blind faith in propaganda will not change that fact.

What is happening in your country is not even 10% of what Kiev did in the Donbas. enjoy.

Yeh, well I went through a period where I spent all my free time reading about WW2 and what made the players tick, trying to figure out what was unique about the Japanese and Germans that allowed them to do the things they did. (As in the treatment of Jews and Chinese etc.). Eventually I came to the truth that it’s human nature, present in us all. Without conscience effort and critical thought we can all commit atrocities.

Did Ukraine arm up to take territory from Russia or did they arm up to prevent Russia taking territory from them? Do you think Putin is really invading because Ukraine armed up, or did Ukraine arm up because they knew who Putin was and what he would do? I see the “Putin was provoked” a little like the “she was asking to be raped with that short skirt” argument. No offense intended with the analogy. :)

Agree 100% with the historical Russia/Ukraine animosity. It’s certainly a factor. But again, who is the aggressor? I’m open to evidence Ukraine wished to take territory (or something else of value) from Russia by military conquest. But I’m unaware of any inkling of such information. To me it looks like Ukrainian last ditch attempt at remaining sovereign when they were left out to dry by NATO, the UN, and the US.

That’s an interesting idea that has merit in my opinion. Not sure how you accomplish that without providing physical protection though. Otherwise you are in the middle of cultural development and Putin waltzes in and gives the final exam. I’ve considered at times if there could have been some way to let them keep nuclear deterrents under supervision. We seem OK with Iran and North Korea having the bomb pretty much unsupervised and nobody has historical or contemporary designs on invading either with the exception of Iraq I guess. But I’ve never heard Iran claim they need the big one to keep Iraq at bay. Maybe that claim was made in the past before I was old enough to pay close attention to that conflict. You probably know more about that history than I.

At the end of the day I guess some countries just have the misfortune of being buffers between super powers. That’s North Korea’s problem in reality. With China on one side and western backed SK on the other they are doomed to a fate of being China’s buffer state. They really have no choice. We blame the NK dictators but they just react to their Chinese puppeteers. Poland always got the shaft as well.

I admire your ability to swim upstream as it were. That certainly is unpopular with the “left”. However I’m seeing an interesting agreement from time to time here on the Ukrainian issue between left and right. It’s heartwarming that we can all feel empathy for our fellow man even if we disagree on what got us to where we are.

I like the left hand woke, right hand military thing. Spot on.

I don’t think we will do things differently. I’m not sure we can. We are like a barn soured horse that runs back to the barn under saddle because it gets oats on it's return. Putin and Xi have us well broke and if we deviate from our training, they now hold the whips and twitches.

Why does he “need” to takeover Ukraine now? I thought Putin and Trump had a deal? Now you say Putin just “imagined” he had Trump’s cooperation.

Bullshit ... You know that Selensky is a Jew, parts of his family died in Holocaust as other fought in Red Army against Nazis?

Well, a really good fascist and Nazi in lead of this fascist regime! Come on Jeannette, do me a favor and switch on your brain please! This is pure Propaganda Bullshit from Russia and nothing else.

And yes, of course are there also Nazis in Ukraine and also in politics, but SO WHAT? Nazis are everywhere including Russia on work ... and of course you forgot these Nazis inside the Russian separatists.

If Putin tells it is all the guilt of the Minions and in maths is 1+1=3 you will believe him of yourse too ... as usual! You and your brain totally infested with conspiracy theories are truly breathtaking. Already when you claim then and certainly still today that the elections in Syria during the civil war were totally OK, democratic and without fakes etc. said everything about you and what bullshit you believe!

North Stream 2 is now history ... and yes, we are working on an alternative to you gas. But please don't forget that it is Russia with Gazprom who is then in trouble by making no sales in foreign countries anymore ... so in other words, please take in account that you piss on your own leg too!

I propose to start with the fact that Ukraine and Russia are historically fraternal peoples and were once a single nation.
I don’t know why Ukraine was armed, but I know that their weapons killed civilians of Donbass.
For a normal people, it should be enough to stop justifying Kievs government.

Ukraine armed itself to clear the Donbass and recapture the Crimea. The possibility of returning Crimea by military means is spelled out in the military doctrine of Ukraine.
