I am actually shocked at the mere amount of "articles" that come up when googling color blindness saying it is racism. They all accuse it as people ignoring that racism exists and don't address it being the aim and answer against racism. But if their answer to racism isn't just to expose it, guard against it, and stop it, but to actually engage in it, they don't know what the hell they are talking about.
That's simply the result of your inability to write a substantive answer. Your response, "No, no and no," didn't leave much to work with.
Racially segregated rock climbing? Cornell charges students $1,800 for racially-segregated rock climbing class, frantically scrubs website when confronted A Cornell University course titled “BIPOC Rock Climbing,” was originally restricted to “people who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, or other people of color.” When Campus Reform contacted the school, Cornell officials edited the course description to remove the race-based enrollment restriction.
Anyone who supports segregation by getting involved/attending these groups and activities, is declaring themselves in support of racism. This is EXACTLY what our forebears fought against, on their freaking behalf. If they don't care enough to make that connection, they don't belong in polite society.
~ I have been thinking of self-segregating myself ! Perhaps a neighborhood where you have to pass an IQ test in order to get in. Sort of like a HOA ... '
It is a delicate balancing act making sure you virtue signal without offending others you wish to also virtue signal to later.
Bingo. That is a culture. But that is not race. That is not "black". Mixing up culture and race is... racism.
per you..... "No, 'African Americanism' is not a culture, much less a separate culture." I don't know how many times we've been over this, and this is the last, but yes there are other cultures that are predominately black (Jamaican, Nigerian...). US blacks who come from a heritage of slavery call themselves formally African Americans and informally Black and they have a culture distinct from other cultures because of their history. It's simple to me but apparently not to you.
SOME US blacks formed a culture around the enslavement of their ancestors. Some continue to identify by that legacy of victimization, see race as primary identification and see others who are also black as their own culture (even when those others don't see themselves as such; such as your Nigerian example). Merely being black doesn't make somebody of this culture, and neither does having ancestors who were slaves. Some white supremacists form culture around race as well, and these two groups have more culturally in common than either have in common with some other people who happen to be black or white (such as Nigerians as you point out). I can see that it is simple for you to confuse skin tone with culture, and that you are ok with the exclusion of people from cultures based on race, and as somebody who isn't white, I find that very alarming.
Should President Biden send in the 101st Airborne to enforce Brown v Board of Education? Charter school for BIPOC students opening in Portland PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland has been labeled the “whitest big city” in America. That can make it difficult for some BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, people of color) kids to see themselves reflected in their communities and schools. That’s why there’s an effort to make a space specifically for BIPOC students where they feel seen, heard and their experiences are reflected in curriculum. Best Part... “We'll focus on what's in your community. Like, it's a very strong entrepreneurial focus […] There'll be a very strong hip-hop focus around our kids’ learning style,” explained Knox. He said concepts from hip-hop would be utilized. “[Like] what does it mean to keep it real? […] What does it mean the grind? How to handle your haters,” Knox said. I'm sure they will be getting the very best education.
More University segregation shenanigan's. White students excluded from Arizona State theatre performance The theatre department at Arizona State University recently hosted a cabaret show that explicitly barred white students from performing in it. “The Color Cabaret” is “an opportunity for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of color) students in the School of Music, Dance and Theatre to create performances that speak to their own experience,” according to a description for the performance held the last weekend in January. “The cabaret, held Jan. 29 and 30, was made up entirely of students of color, and the songs performed told a story with heart, grace and a cultural flair representing the diverse community at ASU,” The State Press reported.
It white kids are forbidden from attending, sue the school in Federal court. Something tells me white kids are not forbidden.
I’m actually okay with this though. Why not get them out of our schools? We’ll be better off for it. I’m not going to lie, I’m getting sick of their crying and disruptive behaviors anyway. Let’s go back to segregated schools and places of business. We will do better for it. They want it, may as well give it to em
