Pain at the pump: Americans are warned to budget for $5-A-GALLON gas as oil prices surge during Russian invasion of Ukraine and US national average rises to $3.61 - up $1 from a year ago, according to AAA

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...lon-gas-prices-average-rises-3-61-1-2021.html

    HYPERLINK has full article

    snip

'We're getting closer to seeing our first ever major city gas price average reach $5/gal,' Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, tweeted Monday, as the national average soared to $3.61, which has since spiked to $3.72 as of Thursday.

    end snip

we already had higher fuel prices due to harmful, Democrat anti-energy policies. Now on top of that, we have the Ukraine bump.

How does one "prepare" for $5 gas? Like it or not, many folks have SUVs and pickup trucks and prior to full Democrat control, would spend $75 for 30 gallons. Now we are looking at $150 !!!!!!!

Regardless of what the media tries to spin for the DNC, in November, folks need to clearly see which party has full control and how much of a train wreck it is due to that full Democrat control

$4.29 p/gallon for diesel yesterday. $92+ to fill my tank. Fortunately, that tank will last me +/- two weeks.

The increases started long before Russia decided invading Ukraine was a good idea, so some memes are so far off the mark it's hard to keep from laughing.

    1) The Democrats DO NOT Have "Full Control".
    Give me a break...

As long as Manchin and Sinema are stalling the Dem. Agenda, the Democrats DO NOT have "Full Control".
Once again, give me a break...:bored:

    2) Putin--After 4 Years of having his his hand-picked puppet (Trump) in the White House--decided (after a year of Biden) that he needed to shake things up.
    Thus, the Ukraine Invasion.

In any event, it doesn't matter if you are D, R, or Ind.--Paying more for gas sucks.

But, everybody is feeling the pinch.

I think $4 Gas is too much.
    We just hit 3.89.
I can't imagine what Summer Driving Season is going to be like if Average Prices go over $4/gallon.

People are just going to have to drive less and stay closer to home.
    ^Problem solved.

Fuel companies are seeing record profits.

OPEC & SA are purposely driving prices up by not releasing more inventory

US production is at record highs

We need a policy shift to keep US oil at home and need to remove tax subsidies from oil and equalize it to alternatives.

Do you just not know how the Senate works or is it the confusion how a bill becomes law that confuses you?

I can probably find a cartoon to explain it

How many Senators does it take to create a law?

    Wait.

So you admit in your rant that there is a spike in prices caused by Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
Then you claim Democrats are in "full control".

Why should we take you seriously when you contradict yourself in the space of two sentences?

Yes, I did notice - and did you notice that it was about the same time OPEC+ got together and limited the amount of oil they were producing? Yup -
not everything is about the U.S.

    News Flash -

Oil prices aren't just limited to US demand. When Europe uses lots of Russian oil, and that oil supply changes, then they start buying more Saudi oil and
US and Canadian oil - so the world prices rise. Ain't rocket science.

There are a lot of Democrat voters who ride in government paid for cars.
Many city employees in Democrat areas, for example, are issued a free gas card and ride around in a city-provided car.

Same story with healthcare plans. Insurance cost increases do not directly affect them.

On the other side, there also are a lot of Democrat voters who do not have cars or who mostly ride bicycles (either because they live in a big city area, because they are one of those greenies who cares about the environment, or more often simply because they are young and poor).

The irony, your lil meme first statement is the reason why Russia is allowed to dismantle and the second part is your presidents agreement to buy their $110 a barrel oil and finance that war instead of using U.S. reserves..

And you thought that meme was just cuteness, huh ;)

Media and Democrat leaders trying to blame the high gas prices on the Ukraine conflict.

Instead of people looking at inflation and the Biden Administration cutting off the domestic production of oil.

It's simple really. If the dollar is worth less, people in other countries don't want to sell us gas in exchange for dollars. They're going to want more dollars for that same sale, otherwise they can just sell that gas to some other country whose currency is worth more.

Inflation might make domestic prices go up 20%, but imports of things like oil will go up 30%. They are both caused by the same inflation of the currency.
(Why don't prices of domestic things go up even more? Because Americans don't have as much choice as foreign sellers of oil do.

If we were energy independent your post and point would be irrelevant! But you know the DNC, they just love to be loved by all the other countries knuckled under by Pootin energy.. So much so they are willing to finance the Russian invasion, beg Iran for help rather than see Americans work, produce and supply themselves with cheap reliable energies..

At this point, it's getting harder and harder to distinguish who the real enemies of the U.S. are!!!!
