I have already explained this to you and you even quoted it right here in this response of yours. Did you not read it? Let me highlight the part that applies to your question: :below: :below: :below:
Americans are "starving" because of the American system of its own "dog eat dog" philosophy. So, your fork and pencil analogy is (intentionally?) dishonest.

I once saw a man (urban setting) attacked with a hatchet. It was pretty effective. Google NYC and face slashing. People are attacked their with box cutters their all the time. Across America unarmed people are often attacked by someone playing the knockout game. Do you suppose only guns are used for violence?

Took a look in the mirror, Black indigenous perhaps would not be so persecuted by your government if they could own guns.

Do you ever post anything about gun control on a North Korean forum, i.e., telling them how good they have it?

Your ability to reason is seriously dampened. A "right" is a legal term, that is to say, a "right" exists only as long as the law allows it and the "guarantee" is only as good as its tenure. Are you following me so far? A "guarantee" is supported by the law "as it stands". No more than that. I think you are confused by the clause "may not be infringed". It looks like a bag-all guarantee but it is not because it never can be. The US Constitution was "amended" and you may or may not understand what that is or what it means. Look up the definition if you need help or are unsure. While you've got the books out you should also look up the term "repeal". When you've done that and you are confident that you understand what those terms mean ... then get back to me and we'll take the next step.

    Why?
So the US has cornered the market on crazy people.

Get used to it solves nothing. To infer that the US has more crazy people than all other first world countries is LOL BS.

Perhaps the liberal state is reflecting the reality demonstrated by the John Calhoun mouse experiments.

I bet slave owners used the same argument. "I'm a responsible slave owner, why should I have to give them up".
What's insane is the argument that with 400 million LEGALLY owned guns that we are somehow safer. There is no metric that will back you up on that and just like "we're number 1" with crazy people I guess we also have the largest number of criminals. More weapons give people an excuse to get weapons to defend themselves from the people with weapons. It’s a never ending cycle.

    ..... still waiting .....
So you've now reiterated the "fact" (according to you) that Americans will not abide by the law if they disagree with it. Isn't that the definition of "a criminal"? I mean, that is exactly what criminals do every day. Right? My advice is that you never try to defend your view in public with such a childish method as you've just displayed.
EXCELLENT! Here is your chance to prove that citizens will continue mass killings even if the gun is removed from society! We already know about the shooting spree Americans conduct on a daily basis so show us some statistics on North Korea's murder rampage without guns. This should be very interesting!

:above: Now, we're getting somewhere. A very interesting introspective thought/point/question on the subject. :above:

This line of questioning is bound to reveal the truth about human psychics and the fallacy about "crazies" being behind the trigger of mass shootings.

I’ll get links when I’m not on an iPad.
So, Americans will not allow a repeal of the second amendment. That would make millions of Americans into criminals, so you can think that might happen but it’s not.
That’s where your North Korea analogy ***** the bed. You’d have to somehow magically remove all the guns from the US, and that’s laughable on all counts.
Why? Because we know if we are stupid enough to give away all of our protection this would be the same tyrannical debacle that NK is!

work that out in your head, guns are going nowhere and pretending so is self-amusement. 87441419-A283-4ED0-A853-429450B6B2A4.jpeg 87441419-A283-4ED0-A853-429450B6B2A4.jpeg

Yet, here I am without a gun and just as capable as you are of defending myself, or running like Hell.

Interesting you bring up slavery. Slaves don't own guns. Free men own guns.

Oh? And exactly what are you defending yourself with...? :confusion:

Your best bet may be to go forward with that "running like Hell" method, and hope you can dodge or outrun the bullets being fired at you by the 'criminals and crazies' who definitely DO have guns....

Oh.....I get it..........GUNS=FREEDOM!! Please, give it a break. Someone said there are 400 milllion legally owned guns in the US......that's a hell of a lot of freedom. People are dying for it.

There now, you see how easy it is to defeat your logic. First, you tell me that the gun (itself) doesn't kill people but now you’re saying that a law (itself) turns honest people into criminals! What a joke you are being.

I see also that you have crashed a dialogue I’ve introduced with someone else. That’s OK because it supports your lack of understanding even further. Again you maintain that people will continue murdering even without guns. So show me the statistics for North Korea proving the citizens are killing one another without guns at the same rate as Americans are killing one another with guns. That would be a huge feather in your cap if you can pull it off.

So get moving – you’ve got to get your hands on proof that nations of citizens other than America are mass-murdering one another at US rates of frequencies & volume and also proof that North Korea is a contender for the US Murder Trophy of the year.

It sounds like an awfully dangerous and primitive country you live in! :cynic: Don't you have any laws prohibiting guns?

Very eloquent... but none of those people who are 'dying for it' are being killed by sane, law-abiding gun owners! They're being killed by "Criminals and Crazies". You lock those bastards up and keep them locked up and guess what...? The problem diminishes greatly almost immediately, and becomes even less of a threat to all of us shortly thereafter!

Longer prison sentences, zero-tolerance, no early-releases, no paroles, and no sob-sister bullshit! Make prison an absolutely HORRIBLE experience that drags on for many years, and the murdering creeps will definitely not want to be sent there! It's interesting that Geriatric Joe mentioned NOTHING about any of that during his heart-wrenching speech tonight....

If only the "criminals and crazies" have weapons and ammunition, then you're right -- it would be an "awfully dangerous and primitive country". Fortunately, we, the sane and law-abiding American citizen population still have the right to defend ourselves from those creatures -- until or unless our 2nd Amendment is thrown out by radical Democrats who never tire of trying to do exactly that!

The very first mass killing by a lone gunman without any immediate reason that I can remember was the Texas Tower in 1963. Do you know of any earlier?

As soon as he got a gun and realized how much fun it would be to kill somebody and get away with it.

You're wrong. The year was 1966, and Charles Whitman was the gunman in the "Texas Tower"....

The lack of scholastic rigor that goes into some of these posts is amazing!

Free men own guns, but I never claimed guns equal freedom. So your response is a strawman fallacy.

Do only Democrats care about their own country enough to stop the guns? I always thought Republicans loved their country too.
