The first part of today's session carried testimony of principled Republicans, known today by the current fascist leadership as "RINOs". We learned how Trump attempted to manipulate Republicans in state government to perpetuate him in power. The pressure to "find" the votes that he needed, as if votes were something they could just ... make up... And the sheer pressure on the Republican State Speaker of the House to abandon his oath of office and just overturn the elections. He and his family were harrassed by the MAGA fascists. And he still adhered to his constitutional duty.

After all the videos, audios, public statements, ... there is no way anymore that anybody could deny intent. At this point it would be laughable.

18 thousand votes, he claimed. And somehow, ... magically... he saw on a granulated video that they were ALL for Biden.

But I think it was of particular impact how Trump destroyed the life of two poll workers by attacking them directly... by name. These were people who were just doing their jobs, victims of The Big Lie. They had to run and hide. Abandon their business and their lives in fear for their lives because of Trump's and Giuliani's despicable attacks on regular citizens.

I think I'm going to enjoy seeing Giuliani in prison just as much as I'm going to enjoy seeing Trump.

Please prove intent ... this is not a trial or a court... remember.. this is just a staged show with intentions to not show the exculpatory evidence and only evidence you and your ilk eat up like candy... this is just another scam set up by Pelosi, just like the impeachments... no witnesses are cross-examined.... only hand picked witnesses are picked that will spew their side...
The committee is a joke and is illegit and illegal...

Yeah. Prove intent. They most definitely did that!

Trump will need to find a different defense. Because it's clear now that lack of intent is not going to work for him. This was proven before today. But you don't spend over an hour trying to convince Georgia's Secretary of State to "find him the votes" by accident.

At one point I thought he would throw Rudy Giuliani under the bus. Blame it all on him. And that might work in some cases. But it turns out even Giuliani had told him that the "election fraud" scheme had no real basis. Of course, Rudy is still Trump's con-conspirator in charges related to harassing election officials.

No... They did not prove intent... They most definitely did NOT do that!

Yeah... Of course, coming from somebody who is not watching the hearings, your statement is an act of faith.

But intent is off the table as a defense. Trump's only option is to look for a scapegoat. Giuliani and John Eastman are definite candidates. But he committed so many crimes that it's unlikely to work

Trump and Giuliani, after this heart wrenching testimony, need to be in jail.

I don't think there is any doubt about this, at this juncture.

The hearings have one simple goal -- smear Trump with so much baggage he won't try to run again. The dems not only loath Trump they fear him. And I'll add this -- I voted for Trump twice but I'll not vote for him again. But I would love to see a repub run with Trump-like ideas for the country.

    I chuckle when I read "trump-like ideas"

    trump has no ideas

he just says the opposite of whatever ideas the democrats come up with

it seems to work for him

even the huge permanent tax cuts for the wealthy were not his idea...

I see a civil suit in the future. They were forced out of their homes - surely that cost them financially. That, on top of all the harassment (including the grandmother who had a group force their way into their home stating they were making a citizen's arrest). The deserve restitution. And then there's Rusty Bowers. His daughter was dying in their home and crowds gathered every saturday with bull horns shouting accusations. His entire neighborhood was disrupted because he wouldn't break the law for Trump. And how did the masses know that? Because Trump told them, of course.

They have not proved intent. That requires getting inside Trump's mind.

We have an investigation which is only hearing one side. That side has already convinced themselves that Trump is guilty. The other side is far from convinced because they see the bias in the investigation. In the meantime, there is a large number of people in the middle who are tired of the whole mess and are beyond caring anymore. This is no longer a winning issue for the democrats, if it ever was. Certainly, it will never overcome the incompetence of the current president.

That would be a dumb tactic. A better political tactic would be to have him run again and THEN show all the crimes he has committed.
